How to Create WiFi Hotspot with Free Virtual WiFi Router?
You must feel frustrated when you step into a room and notice that seventeen people at the table with
only one Ethernet jack in the wall. With Free Virtual WiFi Router, each one can get the network
connection by turning laptops into wireless routers. Using the generated free WiFi hotspot, you can
wirelessly share any internet connection including LAN, Cable Modem, Bluetooth, Dial-up,
Ethernet, Mobile Broadband Card, Cellular, 3G/4G, WiFi, etc.
Step 1. Specify ID & Password
After launching Free Virtual WiFi Router, specify the hotspot name and password you want to
connect the WiFi hotspot.
Tips: When you launch this program for the first time, the hotspot name and password are set by
default:FreeVirtualWiFiRouter and 12345678. It is suggested you change them to whatever ID &
password you want.
Step 2. Choose Internet Source & Device Limit
Select one of the Internet connections (LAN, Cable Modem, Bluetooth, Dial-up, etc.) from the
dropdown menu to share. In "Max Clients", you can increase or reduce the maximum number of
devices connected to hotspot. The default amount is 10 and if the number of connected devices has
reached the limit, other devices can't access the hotspot even with the correct ID & password.
Step 3. Create Hotspot
When all settings are ready, click "Start Hotspot" button to create the WiFi hotspot. Now you can
connect your iPhone, iPad and other mobile devices to the generated hotspot. Anyone who only has
the ID & password can share the network. To cancel the hotspot, just click "Stop Hotspot".
How to Auto Start WiFi Hotspot When Computer Starts?
If you don't want to manually connect to the wireless network every time, there are options
to automatically start your WiFi Hotspot. You can choose to run this program automatically
when computer starts, and start the hotspot automatically at the same time.
Auto Start WiFi Hotspot
Press F3 or click the gear button at the right top of the window, you can see more advanced
settings there.
Check both "Run this program automatically when Windows starts" and "Automatically start
hotspot" to automatically start the WiFi connection when your computer starts.
Moreover, you can minimize the window to the system tray and make it always on the top,
or allow the notification pop up.

4. Refresh the "Internet Source" menu in case there are new connections added.
5. When hotspot working, the status of hotspot is "ON"; if not, "OFF".
6. Total amount of devices connected.
7. Total data transmitted by all devices connected.
8. Refresh the connection info field in case there are new devices connected.
9. Detailed info of the connected devices including device name, IP address and MAC address.
10. Download & upload speed (KB/S).
11. Data sent & received by all devices connected.
