A biography about becoming an athlete, written and illustrated for children.TRANSCRIPT
When I was a kid I football. I always watched the older guys play
and wanted to take part in the fun and action. They always told
me I couldn’t play because I was too small, but that all changed.
Whenever they allowed me to play I always got upset be-
cause they never shared the ball, “you are too small,” they
yelled, so I would sit to the side and wait for them to get
finished.
ME
After Playing ball we all walked home together. We were
just kids, so none of us had cars.
My feet hurt
On the way home we always got in fights with kids from other
schools. It was normal and we handled it well. No one was
ever hurt In a bad way, but we were all pretty unhappy. This
happened a lot because we weren’t liked by our rivalry.

When I got home my mom told me to stop hanging with those
trouble makers, but I thought they were my friends. I always lis-
ten to mom because she knows best.
My Beautiful Mother
My mom always told me if I separate myself from others that
I would be great. My mom always encouraged me and tried
her hardest to keep me on the right track. She always went
out of her way to make sure I was in good shape. The life les-
sons she shared with me were ones that have led me to a
successful young man. After the words I had heard from my
mom, I began working hard on and off the field. I spent less
time with friends and before you know it I was walking across
the stage at my high school graduation.
