They are talking about Book Week and the Book Fair as well as the whole school performance in Week 10. Cody: Amber: Gday, my name is Amber Jeffery and I am in Macarthur. The things I like about school are sport, annoying Mr Woodward and helping in the library as I am a library monitor. My teacher is Miss Rampling and she is fabulous. I think you know enough about me. Lets see whats going on at Franklin! As a library monitor, I can say that this week will be a pretty busy week for the school library as the book fair is being held. This particular book fair is one of the biggest in the past few years. It will open on Monday and close on Friday. The biggest day of the week will be Tuesday as we have the book parade. Students are to dress up as their favourite book characters and walk down the catwalk with an audience of young children and parents. Afterwards, there are open classrooms where parents can take a look at some of the terrific learning that has been taking place in the class. At lunch there will be a meal deal and parents are able to take children into the Library to purchase a book. There is also a book week raffle filled with lots of awesome prizes. One of the other exciting things happening around this time of year is our whole school performance practice! Every class takes their turn to practise their song and dance with the amazing music teacher, Mrs Argaet. Most students put their best effort into being as good as they can. Speaking from experience, most students enjoy learning their act for the performance. Thats all from me. Thanks for reading Student Voice! Hi all, my name is Cody Piper I am in Macarthur and my teacher is Miss Rampling. I am one of the school prefects here at Franklin. I am the eldest child in my family and I have a brother and a sister. When I am not at school I like riding my scooter and my favourite thing at school is playing with my friends and doing maths. The art excursion was last week. As a school leader I went on Monday to the art exhibition for the opening and on Tuesday we all went with our classes. Everybody was so excited to see their artwork and we all had fun looking at some wonderful art from the students at different schools. The spelling bee was last week. The students were calm and focused. We were thrilled about the two fantastic spellers that are going to the finals to represent Stage 3 at Franklin Public School. They are, in the first place, Maddie Piper and in second place, Lucy Swan. The two winners from Stage 2 are Zachary Schubert and Hayley Evans. We wish them the best of luck. Finally I thought I would share with you what our responsibilities as leaders are around the school. We put up the crossing flags and lock the gates every morning, we put up the Australian, Aboriginal and NSW flags, we represent the school at official occasions such as ANZAC Day, we talk at assembly, put out sporting gear, thank visitors to the school and much more. I really enjoy the responsibilities of being a school leader.

Blaxland have had a busy fortnight. We have celebrated NAIDOC day, by creating arm bands and bookmarks and delved into hands on learning in Maths. Here students are looking for number patterns in the ordering of rhombuses.

We were also luck enough to visit the "Five Ways Art Studio" where we viewed a range of artworks from Franklin and oth-er schools.
