From 1995 to 2009: Creation of several IXPs in Paris with different models

2009: Survey among the French operators

Showed a clear need for a federative IXP

2010: Creation of France-IX, non-profit model

2011: Partnerships and integration of existing IXPs into France-IX

2015: Foreign IXPs developing their presence in France
