Cottage Room Spray

10 drops pine essential oil
10 drops cedarwood essential oil (optional)
1 drop birch tar essential oil (or vetiver)
5 drops labdanum essential oil (optional)
1 drop rose absolute (or another floral essential oil)

Carrier oil or perfumery alcohol, to fill

Blend all the carrier oils together in a 10mL bottle. Top off with carrier oil or perfumery alcohol (cheap vodka will do). Decant between two 5mL spray bottles.

You can use carrier oil instead, but if you dilute the essential oils in carrier oil, the mixture wont really spray, itll spurt/blast, not mist.

You can also mix the essential oils with an equal amount of solubilizer and then add that mixture to at least 60ml water.

Christmas Room Spray

20 drops cedarwood essential oil
20 drops orange essential oil
10 drops vanilla essential oil
10 drops frankincense essential oil
5 drops cinnamon essential oil
5 drops clove essential oil
1/2 drop birch tar essential oil (or vetiver)
1 drop cocoa absolute

Equal volume solubilizer (optionalsee other methods below the instructions)
Water

Measure out the essential oils into your empty spray bottle (I used a 50mL one). Top with the solubilizer (if youre using it) and swirl to combine.

Add half the water, cap, and shake to mix (its easier to get everything to mix when you have some shaking room). Add the rest of the water, and give it a light shake to combine everything.

Spritz whenever you need a sensory boost of the Christmas spirit.

You have two non-solubilizer options: One is to simply dissolve the essential oils in perfumery alchohol (cheap vodka will do) and use that as your spritz. The other is to mix the oils into a low-scent carrier oil (though this will not spray well [it mostly blasts out of misters] and is quite messy as you are basically hosing your house with scented oil).

Glace de Perfum

An excellent carrier for scent, this formula is rich, yet sinks right into the skin, leaving NO greasy after-feel.

Ingredients List

Beeswax, white or yellow 5 grams
Carnauba wax 4 grams
Fractionated Coconut 50 g
Mango butter 5 grams
20-25 drops essential oil or fragrance blend
Vitamin E , natural, 10 drops

Combine waxes in a microwave proof bowl and heat in microwave for 2-3 mins. on 50% power, till all waxes are melted and fluid. Stir. Addmango butter, fractionated coconut and stir. Heat for 20-30 seconds on 50% power, or until all is fluid. Stir. Add vit e and scent. Stir. Pour into waiting tins or tubes. Allow to cool thoroughly before capping. Yield: approx. 2.5 ounces.

Ingredients
*Use organic ingredients whenever possible. I have linked to the products I use as a reference.

1/4 cup coconut oil (this is the creamiest, most nutritive coconut oil Ive ever used)

1/8 cup olive oil (I purchase only the best organic olive oil here)

1/8 cup castor oil

2 tablespoons beeswax (these beeswax pastilles areso much easier to work with)

1 tablespoon lanolin

1 teaspoon vitamin E oil (its this GMO-free vitamin E oil for me)

Method

In a small sauce pan, over low to medium heat, warm coconut oil and beeswax until melted.

Remove from heat and add olive oil, castor oil, lanolin, and vitamin E oil.

Whisk until all ingredients are well combined.

Continue to whisk as mixture cools, whiskuntil mixture is creamy yet still pourable.

Pour from pan into a 4 ounce glassjar (I keep these on hand at all times) or any other appropriatestorage container of your choosing.

This homemade product will keepfresh on the counter for up to a year.

Use as you would Vaseline.
