Dear Brother Knights, In November, we pause our busy lives to remember those who have left us, particu-larly those who have passed in the past year. Due to the pandemic, we were unable to celebrate our Memorial Mass. We hope to be able to resume this in 2021. On November 11, I lost my 97 year old mother-in-law to cancer. I mention this be-cause she spent her last week in Hospice. I want all Council members to know that the money we donate annually to Hospice is very much appreciated and it is put to good use. I found the care and compassion of the staff to be extraordinary. As Christmas approaches, I urge everyone, especially this year, to keep those in need in your prayers, and give when you can to the many worthy organizations that pro-vide assistance to the needy. Another victim of COVID-19 unfortunately is our annual Christmas Party for mem-bers children and grandchildren. Again, hopefully we will resume this happy event next year. We have been advised the starting in 2021, the annual provincial lottery will be re-placed by a quarterly on line 50/50 draw. More information on this as it is released. I urge all members to consider how you can assist your Council in all the worthy pro-jects undertaken throughout the year. I continue to encourage all members to support our Parish – their expenses continue during this pandemic. Pray for those that put themselves in harms way especially health care workers, first responders and all those who continue to work in essential services. Our meeting on November 24 will again be held on Zoom. Hope to see you then, in the meantime, stay safe and healthy.

Hello Brother Knights, As was are still in the grip of Covid restrictions, there has not been a lot of activity since our last meeting. The one exception is our delivery of “Coats for Kids” to Sisters of Devine Mercy Food Bank. Brothers Jack Regnier, Mike Trepanier, and myself presented two boxes of coats on November 13th. Please continue to safe distance and wear masks as per Health Unit guidelines until we get this virus under control.

Ron Barnhard,

Deputy Grand Knight
