TECHNICAL PRODUCT SPECIFICATION

Introduction• The Intrinsic Safety (I.S.) interface

termination boards (TB) listed here aredesigned to connect with Foxboro FBMI/O cards and provide I.S. isolation andprotection through the I/O modules ofthe Elcon Series HiD2000. The TBsconnectors link with the Provox I/Ocards by standard Provox cable.

• The connections to/from the hazardousarea can be made with standard screw-clamp terminals (.../HAT/...), or loop-disconnect terminals (.../HAKE/...).The latter, HAKE, can only be used fornormal 2 channel module boards, not 4channel or temperature inputs.

• The 24 V dc power supply is connectedeither to the Power terminal block or tothe Power plug using standard FR

cables. The power is bussed to theisolators by the TB and,if required,routedto operate the field circuits of the FIMs.

• For all basic characteristics, functionsand installation information please referto the standard Series HiD2000instructions manuals: Termination BoardUser Instruction Manual” PN991190 -Module User Instruction Manual,PN991169.
