Once a year, we commit ourselves to this ongoing work by supporting this life giving appeal. We reflect on God’s great generosity, and respond with gener-ous giving of our

own. With your support, faith in action is visible every day in the compassionate outreach of Catholic Charities, to the least among us; in the prayerful wit-ness of our retired priests and the joy of new priestly vocations; to the many diocesan ministries and pro-grams that heal, teach and care for others. Watch the Appeal Video at home this week at www.partners-charity.net. Thank you. This February every member of St. Luke the Evan-gelist is called upon to support the work of our Lord Jesus made possible through the annual appeal. Please complete your pledge envelope and return it to us. Our parish goal is $142,000. Text giving is hands down the easiest and most secure way to give. If you know how to send a text message, you can make a gift to Partners in Charity in seconds on your phone . Best yet, our parish St. Luke the Evan-gelist will receive credit! Text the word donate to 84576. In addition to giving you can also view the 2021 appeal video. You can also make your gift online at partners-charity.net. Thank you for your continued support!

St. Mary Parish, Uxbridge will offer "The Search," an innovative video series from Augustine Institute which tackles the key questions of the human heart.

Multi-disciplinary experts will address such issues as life and death, sorrow and happiness, science and

faith, and the meaning and purpose of life. Whether you are a seeker, tepid in your faith or completely

engaged, you will find this series enlightening. It will take place on Monday nights, February 15 through

March 29, from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm. There will be an in-person class at the parish and a Zoom class run-ning at the same time. There is no cost for the class, but there is an optional workbook available for $10. Masks are required and social distancing will be ob-served for the in-person session. St. Mary Parish is located at 77 Mendon St. in Uxbridge. For more in-

formation or to register for The Search, please email: [email protected] or vis-

it stmaryuxbridge.org.

H H P P On Friday, February 12, 2021 from 7 - 8 pm a ho-ly hour to pray for priests will take place at Immacu-late Conception Church on 353 Grove St., Worces-ter. This holy hour will consist of time for silent ado-ration, as well as a short reflection, the rosary, and benediction. Please join us to pray for our priests.

M S St. Luke’s is serving at the Mustard Seed on March 5th . We have been asked to bring a hot meal, which would be much appreciated during the cold days of winter. Because of

the precautions that we are taking during the pandemic, we are asking for a com-plete dinner. We would ask that each person make 4 dinners, each consisting of a piece of baked boneless chicken breast (Shake-n-bake or any type of baked chicken), rice pilaf, a hot vegetable (any kind) and a roll. Please put the dinner in a disposable container. Please deliver the dinners hot to our house by 4:30 on March 5th . We will need 19 people to make the dinners. Thank you so much for your help!

4th Sunday in Ordinary Time “Brothers and sisters: I should like you to be free of anxieties.” (1 Corinthians 7:32) How much anxiety do we bring upon ourselves by constantly worrying about not having enough or attaining more things? God won’t necessarily give you everything you want, but He will provide every-thing you need. Try this – use the word “pray” instead of the word “worry” in the future. Then pray for things instead of worrying about them.
