The first annual Celebration of Diversity Mass will be on Saturday, April 28, at 5:00 pm. Our parish of St. Joseph is wonderfully diverse, with parishioners born in more than 25 countries. Our Priority Plan made it clear that the men and women who make up St. Joseph want to celebrate this great diversity. The mass will be bilingual and there will be a dinner afterwards. Please save the date for April 28th at 5:00 pm.
BINGO! On Friday, April 13, we once again had a fun night of St. Joseph’s Bingo. St. Monica’s Guild provided a delicious Sloppy Joe and Potato Salad meal (with home made pies for desert) and the Knights of Columbus hosted the games. Door prizes were provided by Cathy Frei, Janice Kilgore, The Anguianos Family, Robin Vrana and Margaret Bauer. Sales totaled $ 915.00. After all expenses had been met including the payout for the games we had a profit of $460.50 for projects for the parish! Seventy-eight players attended and twenty five players shared $265 in regular game winnings. Tammy Wyatt and Leticia Garcia won the first Blackout of $116.50! Lee Offut won the second Blackout prize of $63.
Congratulations to all our winners. Join us on May 11 when we will be cele-
brating our 14th Anniversary of St. Joseph Bingo. Be sure to mark the date. The
Grand prize will be a patio set and you MUST be present to win so be sure to not
miss it!

Pastor’s Letter
Bridge Builders 3
I am happy to report that our third class of Bridge Builders has be-
gun!
St. Joseph’s is brilliantly diverse. We have parishioners born in over 25 countries and about 50% of the members of St. Joseph have Hispanic
heritage. One of the steps we have taken to celebrate this diversi-ty is to
develop Bridge Builders, a small group of parishioners who repre-sent our diversity. They come together for one year and share sto-ries, food, and time together. They work through a book devel-
oped by the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops enti-tled, “Building Intercultural Competence for Ministers.”
This third class of Bridge Builders have a diverse background among themselves coming from places like Oklahoma, Texas, Ha-
waii, Mexico, Venezuela, and Panama. Keep Hope Alive,
Fr. Boeckman
