Navidad 2017 Queridos Feli-greses y Ami-gos, La Luz brilla en las tinieblas, y las tinieblas no la recibieron (Juan 1:5) La mayoría de las personas, tienen el miedo a la obscuridad. En la obscuri-

dad es posible caer sobre las cosas. La Luz nos permite encontrar nuestro camino; nos da esperanza para seguirlo. Cuando Jesús caminaba sobre la tierra, a menudo se nombraba a si Mismo, que es Nuestra Luz. Se llamaba a si Mismo “La Luz del Mundo”. Ha venido para mostrar-nos el camino hacia Dios, su Padre. Dios nos mostró amor infinito al permitir que Jesús se hiciera hombre, y viviera entre nosotros. Nos permite seguirlo quien es nuestra Luz y nuestro Camino, y siempre compartir su Luz y Amor con el prójimo. En la Navidad meditamos el Amor de Dios que llego a nuestro mundo, es un rayo de luz en la obscuridad. Celebrando el Nacimiento de Jesús, hemos sido llamados a tener compasión con los mendigos, con los pobres, con los enfermos, y con los que sufren. Cuando nosotros com-partimos con el prójimo, a la misma vez le damos regalos al Niño Jesús. En este tiempo del año cuando el espíritu de ge-nerosidad llena nuestros corazones, les pedimos que sean generosos con su Parroquia de Sta. María de Czestocho-wa. Las necesidades de nuestra parroquia son muchas, y como siempre sus sacerdotes dependen de tu generosidad para poder continuar, y seguir llevando el mensaje de Je-sús para quienes lo adoran en nuestra hermosa Iglesia ¡Que la Luz de Jesucristo guie a Ustedes, y guar-dé en su Amor! ¡Que Ustedes y sus seres queridos tengan una Feliz Navidad y Prospero Año Nuevo!

Lc 1, 26-38 En aquel tiempo, el ángel Gabriel fue enviado por Dios a una ciudad de Galilea, llamada Nazaret, a una vir-gen desposada con un varón de la estirpe de David, llama-do José. La virgen se llamaba María. Entró el ángel a donde ella estaba y le dijo: "Alégrate, llena de gracia, el Señor está contigo". Al oír estas palabras, ella se preocupó mucho y se preguntaba qué querría decir semejante saludo. El ángel le dijo: "No temas, María, porque has hallado gracia ante Dios. Vas a concebir y a dar a luz un hijo y le pondrás por nombre Jesús. Él será grande y será llamado Hijo del Altísimo; el Señor Dios le dará el trono de David, su padre, y él reinará sobre la casa de Jacob por los siglos y su reinado no tendrá fin". María le dijo entonces al ángel: "¿Cómo podrá ser esto, puesto que yo permanezco virgen?" El ángel le con-testó: "El Espíritu Santo descenderá sobre ti y el poder del Altísimo te cubrirá con su sombra. Por eso, el Santo, que va a nacer de ti, será llamado Hijo de Dios. Ahí tienes a tu parienta Isabel, que a pesar de su vejez, ha concebido un hijo y ya va en el sexto mes la que llamaban estéril, por-que no hay nada imposible para Dios". María contestó: "Yo soy la esclava del Señor; cúmplase en mí lo que me has dicho". Y el ángel se retiró de su presencia.

En el principio ya existía aquel que es la Palabra, y aquel que es la Palabra estaba con Dios y era Dios. Ya en el principio él estaba con Dios. Todas las cosas vinie-ron a la existencia por él y sin él nada empezó de cuanto existe. Él era la vida, y la vida era la luz de los hombres. La luz brilla en las tinieblas y las tinieblas no la recibie-ron. Aquel que es la Palabra era la luz verdadera, que ilu-mina a todo hombre que viene a este mundo. En el mundo estaba; el mundo había sido hecho por él y, sin embargo, el mundo no lo conoció. Vino a los suyos y los suyos no lo recibieron; pero a todos los que lo recibieron les concedió poder llegar a ser hijos de Dios, a los que creen en su nombre, los cuales no nacieron de la sangre, ni del deseo de la carne, ni por voluntad del hom-bre, sino que nacieron de Dios. Y aquel que es la Palabra se hizo hombre y habitó entre nosotros. Hemos visto su gloria, gloria que le co-rresponde como a unigénito del Padre, lleno de gracia y de verdad.

IV NIEDZIELA ADWENTU W szóstym miesiącu posłał Bóg anioła Gabriela do miasta w Galilei, zwanego Nazaret, do Dziewicy poślubionej mężowi, imieniem Józef, z rodu Dawida; a Dziewicy było na imię Maryja. Anioł wszedł do Niej i rzekł: Bądź pozdrowiona, pełna łaski, Pan z Tobą, <błogosławiona jesteś między niewiastami>. Ona zmieszała się na te słowa i rozważała, co miałoby znaczyć to pozdrowienie. Lecz anioł rzekł do Niej: Nie bój się, Maryjo, znalazłaś bowiem łaskę u Boga. Oto poczniesz i porodzisz Syna, któremu nadasz imię Jezus. Będzie On wielki i będzie nazwany Synem Najwyższego, a Pan Bóg da Mu tron Jego praojca, Dawida. Będzie panował nad domem Jakuba na wieki, a Jego panowaniu nie będzie końca. Na to Maryja rzekła do anioła: Jakże się to stanie, skoro nie znam męża? Anioł Jej odpowiedział: Duch Święty zstąpi na Ciebie i moc Najwyższego osłoni Cię. Dlatego też Święte, które się narodzi, będzie nazwane Synem Bożym. A oto również krewna Twoja, Elżbieta, poczęła w swej starości syna i jest już w szóstym miesiącu ta, która uchodzi za niepłodną. Dla Boga bowiem nie ma nic niemożliwego. Na to rzekła Maryja: Oto Ja służebnica Pańska, niech Mi się stanie według twego słowa! Wtedy odszedł od Niej anioł.

Boże Narodzenie 2017 Drodzy parafianie

i przyjaciele, Światłość w ciemności świeci i ciemność jej nie ogarnęła. (Jan 1: 5) Zdarza się, że wiele osób czasami ma uzasadniony lęk przed ciemnością. W ciemności możemy się potknąć czy przewrócić. Światło zaś pozwala nam odnaleźć na-szą drogę; wskazuje nam nasze współrzędne celu, do którego zmierzamy. Kiedy Jezus chodził po ziemi, często nazywał siebie Światłem. Odnosiło się do Niego jako "ŚWIATŁA ŚWIATA!". Przyszedł, aby wskazać nam drogę do Boga, Jego Ojca! Jaką miłość okazał nam Bóg, gdy pozwolił Jezusowi stać się człowie-kiem i żyć wśród nas! Podążajmy więc za Tym, który jest na-szym Światłem i naszą Drogą i zawsze dzielmy się między sobą tym Jego Światłem i Miłością! Boże Narodzenie zawiera w sobie Miłość Bożą wkra-czającą w nasz świat, błysk światła na ciemnym niebie! Kiedy świętujemy narodziny Jezusa, jesteśmy wezwani do współczucia bezdomnym, biednym, chorym i cierpiącym. Kiedy dzielimy się z innymi, wtedy dajemy prezenty samemu Chrystusowi. W tym czasie, kiedy duch obdarowywania napełnia nasze serca i nam towarzyszy, prosimy, abyście również w mia-rę swoich możliwości pamiętali o waszej parafii Matki Bożej Czę-stochowskiej i byli względem niej hojni. Potrzeby naszej parafii są liczne i jak zawsze, jako wasi duszpasterze, apelujemy o wa-szą hojność. Od niej bowiem zależy, czy nadal w naszym pięk-nym kościele głoszone będzie przesłanie Jezusa wszystkim, którzy tutaj Jego wielbią. Niech Światło Chrystusa prowadzi każdego z Was i zawsze ma w swojej miłości! Obyście Wy i Wasi bliscy mogli cieszyć się szczęśliwymi Świętami Bożego Narodzenia oraz Błogosławionym, Spokojnym i Obfitym Nowym Rokiem! Z pamięcią w modlitwie w Chrystusie Dzieciątku,

The angel Gabriel visits Mary to announce the birth of Jesus. Background on the Gospel Reading This Sunday we read the

story of the angel Gabriel’s announcement to Mary about the birth of Jesus. This story is found only in Luke’s Gospel. On this fourth Sunday of Advent, the liturgy shifts our attention from John the Baptist to Mary, the mother of Jesus. Both John and Mary serve as important figures for our reflection during the season of Advent; they both played instrumental roles in preparing the way for Jesus. Last week we reflected on John the Baptist’s announcement that the Savior was among us, although not yet recog-nized. This week we reflect upon Mary’s example of faith and obedience to God, traits which permitted her to receive the angel’s message that God’s Son would be born as a human person, as one of us. We are familiar with the story of the Annun-ciation, and it is fitting that we recall how God an-nounced the birth of Jesus as we make our final prep-arations for our celebration of the Incarnation. The angel Gabriel visited Mary, a virgin betrothed to a man named Joseph. Mary greeted the angel’s news with awe and wonder and asked how it could be pos-sible that she could give birth to a child. In his reply, the angel Gabriel announced the seemingly impossi-ble reality: the child to be born would be conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and would be God’s own Son. The angel reported to Mary another mira-cle; her relative Elizabeth was also pregnant despite having been thought to be unable to have a child. Mary’s response to the angel, which is called her fiat, is an example of complete faith and obedience to God. The story of the Annunciation calls to our attention God’s wondrous action in human history. God chose a human person to give birth to his Son so that all humanity would know God’s salvation. Mary, already full of God’s grace, was able to coop-erate in this great plan for our salvation. Thus Jesus was born as one of us, fully human and also fully divine. This is the mystery we prepare to celebrate at Christmas, the mystery of the Incarnation. In the model of Mary, we pray that we will be people of faith who recognize God’s saving plan for us and are able respond with obedience.

Christmas, 2017 Dear Parishion-ers and Friends, The light shines in the darkness, and the dark-ness has not overcome it. ( John 1:5) Most people, at times,

have a healthy fear of the dark. In the dark it is possi-ble that we fall over things. Light allows us to find our way; it gives us our bearings to carry on. When Jesus walked the earth, He often called Himself our Light. He referred to Himself as the “LIGHT OF THE WORLD!” He came to show us the way to God, His Father! What love God has shown us to allow Jesus to become man and to live among us! Let us follow Him who is our Light and our Way and always share His Light and Love with each other! Christmas is about God’s love breaking into our world, a flash of light in a darkened sky! As we celebrate Jesus’ birth, we are called to have compas-sion for the homeless, the poor, the sick and suffer-ing. When we share with others we are giving gifts to the Christ Child Himself. At this time of year, when the spirit of giving fills our hearts, please be as generous as possible to your parish of St. Mary of Czestochowa. The needs of our parish are many and as always your parish priests depend on your generosity to continue to bring the message of Jesus to all who worship in our beautiful church. May the Light of Christ guide you and al-ways keep you in His love! May you and your loved ones enjoy a Happy and Holy Christmas and a Blessed, Peaceful and Prosperous New Year!
