The Four Noble Truths Sutra is the Buddhas first and most

essential teaching. This retreat is geared towards beginners and

will include Dharma teaching, discussion, meditation instruction,

and meditation practice.

Ravi was born and raised in Bihar, India, the land of the Buddha. He has studied

Buddhism from both Theravada and Tibetan monks and lay teachers including B.

Alan Wallace. His teachings strongly emphasize practical methods and

fundamental concepts. He is the founder of Tibet House California

(http://thcal.us), an organization setup to "Help Tibetans Preserver Their Culture

in Exile" and was endorsed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Recently Ravi

directed and produced a historical documentary "Journey of the Heart" that is

based on the Heart Sutra.
