Our “Cascade Clusters” are simply groups of three ormore cascade jets powered by a common pump andmounted on the same float assembly. The jets areindividually valved to allow a variety of adjustmentsso the appearance of the display can be easilychanged. The important advantage of a CascadeCluster is the power savings by using a commonpump and float assembly compared to the cascade“group” which is made up of individual fountainsplaced in a pattern. The appeal of our Pod Jet/Spray Ring fountains lies in theirgeometry; a large stream rising high in the centersurrounded by a lower tier of smaller jets set at an anglefrom vertical. Fountain Components

Nozzles and JetsCascade nozzles produce a geyser-like eruption offoamy white water that provides a bold visual effectand heavy water sounds. They illuminate well in theevenings and have the biological effect of heavyaeration and water movement. They do, however,require a lot of pressure and gallons per minute ofwater for their height.

Three-Tier jets produce a very attractiveand delicate three level spray pattern.They also illuminate well at night. Alarge pattern is produced using a 1/2 to3hp pump which has low pressure andminimum water requirements. These jetsare solid brass and easy to take apart forcleaning and adjustments.

An optional kit is available for 5additional patterns.

Morning GloryMorning Glory jets produce a cone shapedpattern that is fully adjustable. Our N-200with a 2” threaded base will produce at

pattern 4’x10’ with a 1/2 hppump, 5’x12’ with a 3/4 hppump and 7’x15’ with a 1 hppump. Check with factory forexact specifications. The nozzleis constructed of solid brass forlong life. The larger N-230 witha 3” threaded base is for largerapplications using 3hp pumpsand larger.

Nozzles and JetsSwivel smooth bore jets are useful for a variety of fountainuses. Smaller ones are used in spray rings and pod jets(several set in a circle will give the appearance of a largesingle jet). Larger ones (1/2” and up) are often used alone.These jets are solid brass construction and are made toswivel up to 15 degrees from vertical. They produce avery smooth stream due to their long bore and thestainless steel water straighteners included in their base.Smooth bore fixed-base jets are similar but do not swivel.

PumpsPumps are the heart of a fountain and they need to bevery reliable and durable. One of the best available isthe Barnes fountain pump. These little dynamos havebeen an industry standard for years. The 1 hp unit iscapable of pumping over 6,000 gallons per hour andwill propel our 3T-12 Three Tier nozzle to a height of15’. It features a stainless steel wrap-around intake toreduce clogging, a 10’ cord and a one yearmanufacturer’s warranty. The 1 hp pump is 230 voltand the 1/2 hp and 3/4 hp are 120 volt.

Aeration – Decorative Floating Aerators and Deicers

Floating AeratorsFloating Aerators are especiallyadvantageous in water less than 6’deep where diffused air systems areinefficient. These aerators utilize apropeller to thrust hundreds of gallonsof water per minute into the air whichdrastically increases both oxygenationand circulation. The result is vastlyimproved water quality. These aeratorsare also quite attractive with their“morning glory” pattern and soothingsound of moving water. These units arelight weight, very easy to install anddurable. They are UPS shippable.

Aeration – Diffused Air Systems

Diffused Air SystemsDiffused Air Systems are often the best choice if you need anaeration system primarily to improve water quality and are notlooking for a visual display. These systems work by bubblingmillions of tiny air bubbles per minute from bottom-mounted airdiffusers (airstone assemblies). The actual air compressor is onshore and must be mounted in a protective enclosure such as aspecial cabinet or otherwise protected from the weather. An airline or lines run from the compressor to one or more of the airdiffusers on the bottom. The effect is that not only do the airbubbles transfer life-giving oxygen to the water but they also create “drag” as they rise from thebottom pulling hundreds or thousands of gallons per minute of low oxygen, poor quality, highnutrient water from the bottom to the surface where the toxic gases can be released to theatmosphere and organic debris and nutrients can be oxidized, decomposed and utilized. This drageffect creates a slow, steady, pond-wide circulation pattern, eliminating stagnation, reducingsedimentation, and destratifying the lake or pond.

In order to be effective, the pond must be at least 6’ deep and the aeration system should be run24 hours per day after an initial startup program lasting few days. We have been installing andusing these systems for many years and found them to be very energy efficient, mechanicallyreliable, easy to install and very effective in improving the water quality of a lake or pond. Theygreatly reduce the amount of algae, improve water clarity, eliminate odors and improve the healthof the fish and other aquatic organisms. The frequency and severity of periodic fish kills is greatlyreduced, or in most cases, eliminated.

An aeration system will probably not eliminate the need for some additional maintenance of apond. For instance, floating and underwater weeds will not be killed or eliminated and lesseramounts of algae may sometimes need occasional treatment. Sometimes the combination ofeffective aeration and weed-eating fish such as white amur or grass carp will keep the pond inexcellent condition with no herbicides or algaecides required.

Water quality improvement with aeration takes time so don’t expect immediate results. Two totwelve months may be required for optimum results.

For shallow ponds, you may wish to consider a decorative floating aerator. They are both effectiveand attractive in ponds of 6’ or less.

Finally, consider a fountain for the beauty and a diffused air system for results!

Aeration

Aeration WindmillsAeration Windmills are a GREAT alternative toour electric diffused air systems, particularlywhere there is no electricity available. This systemlooks good and is an ideal way to improveoxygen levels and the overall health of your pond.This complete package includes a 64” diameter,12-blade head, a heavy duty galvanized steeltower, large “tail”, 100’ of 3/8” air tubing and apond diffuser. The windmill may be located somedistance from the pond, if necessary to catch aprevailing wind. The air pump diaphragm willneed to be replaced every one to two years.

The windmill will operate in as little as 5 mphwinds and has an output of 1.5 cfm in a 10-12mph wind. The system will pay for itself over andover again in saved electrical costs. Several options are available including a freeze control tankto prevent frozen air lines and several height options. See below.

2. Ordering of parts and fountain fabrication will not begin until deposit has been received by Lake

Fountains. Delay in receipt of deposit could delay delivery of your fountain.

3. Shipping method will be via common carrier or UPS ground for smaller items. Call factory for exact

shipping method and cost.

4. Florida Sales Tax will be applicable for sales and/or installations in Florida unless you are tax-exempt

or have a Florida Resale Certificate on file.

5. Fountains that have been ordered, fabricated and are ready for shipment but are not accepted by

Customer within 60 days of agreed delivery date will be delivered to Customer with full balance due

and payable. Cancellation of fountain order may result in forfeiture of Customer’s deposit.

6. Electrical items supplied by Lake Fountains such as control panels can be delivered to Customer so that

Customer’s electrical contractor may wire in these devices prior to actual fountain delivery.

7. If Lake Fountains is to perform the installation, Customer shall supply proper power to the site prior to

installation. Trenching, conduit and electrical hookup shall be performed by Customers electrician.

Unwarranted requests for warranty work not related to defective equipment provided by Lake

Fountains shall be billed to Customer at regular service rates.

8. Lake Fountains reserves the right to change our products, specifications and pricing without notice

excluding orders already placed by Customer. Performances are measured in calm winds at sea level.

LAKE FOUNTAINS & AERATION, INC., hereinafter referred to as the seller, warrants all products and parts of

its own manufacture against defects in material or workmanship for a period of Three (3) years from date of

shipment when given normal and proper usage as determined by seller upon examination, and when owned

by the original user. Specifically excluded from the 3 year warranty are pumps, motors and light fixtures,

which carry a standard 1-year manufacturer’s warranty. Seller will repair or replace F.O.B. original shipping

point any part or parts of its manufacture which, in its judgement, shall disclose defects in either material or

workmanship. If requested by seller, parts for which a warranty claim is made are to be returned,

transportation prepaid, to our factory, with the original proof of purchase. A return authorization number must

be obtained from LAKE FOUNTAINS & AERATION, INC. prior to return. Expressly excluded from this

warranty are replacement light bulbs. This warranty becomes void if article claimed to be defective has been

repaired or altered in any way or when the article has been subject to misuse, negligence or accident, or when

instructions for installing or operation have been disregarded.

WE MAKE NO OTHER WARRANTY, EXPRESSED OR IMPLIED AND MAKE NO WARRANTY OF

MERCHANTABILITY OR OF FITNESS FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSES, AND THERE ARE NO
