Introducing the Breed Specialist Judge

Miss Henriette Pahl (Pahlex, Denmark) It all started as a 4-year old girl when I kept on asking for a Collie male puppy from the next door neighbour ..... and what a great childhood I had with this dog. In the summer 1978 the first male collie with papers registered in the Danish Kennel Club entered the family ... and my mum started as a chauffeur for me to dog shows..... I was very keen on the Collies and where else could I spend the Summer 1980 than as a kennel girl at Sandiacre Collies.... Sandra & Jack still remind me what hard work I thought it was... - but I remember it as a GREAT summer with all the beautiful Collies. Since 1991 I have been showing at almost all the shows in Denmark, but the world really opened for me when I had the great chance to get a handsome 3 year old male from England - Corydon Beam Me Up - "Scotty", in 1995. Two years later came a beautiful young bitch Sandiacre Spring Bouquet "Posy" and in 2001 a cute puppy bitch Corydon La Suprema "Emma" ... and "Emma" is still going strong at 14 years old. The first Pahlex litter was born in 2003 and there have been 4 litters so far...... Champion tiles in Denmark and abroad, a Junior World Winner 2006, a World Winner 2008 and a Veteran World Winner 2014 and it all goes back to "Emma".... A new side of the dog world did open for me in 2012 when I did start to judge Open Shows in Denmark and Sweden .... and I am very delighted and honoured to be here today in England....

Introducing the All-Round Judge

Mr Tomas Rohlin (Rollington, Denmark) “I have always been surrounded by pets. But dogs and especially collies have been my passion. I started to show at 8 years of age under Ms. Margret Osborne. Did not do too well but it did not scare me off. We had some litters in my teenage years. At the same time I travelled frequently to England and visited kennels and shows. Together with the Ejerstads we started Steadlyn and later I went on a tour around the world. I worked with dogs and dogshows in the US, Japan and ended up in Brazil for 10 years. On return to Scandinavia the Danish Kennel Club accepted me to train to become a confirmation judge. Now 12 years later I can award CAC/CACIB to more than 100 breeds. I have judged in most countries in Northern Europe including England. I have had the pleasure of judging in South America, South Africa and Australia. I am really looking forward to this surprise assignment. These special shows are always a pleasure to judge and the atmosphere is so good. I have heard so much about the food too……”
