• Denies ability to choose when to disclose something

• Lack of ability to choose who knows what about you

• Your past follows you because internet is forever

• Data-mining, internet tracking, selling personal info

• Concentration of information makes it easier for government to spy

• We don’t realize how much information is out there

Fraud = act under fake name using your info• Thieves get details from social networking sites • No national law to address this issue• Examples: Dana Thornton creates nasty Facebook page in his name to trash

ex-boyfriend• Jesus Felix, created 130 fake Facebook profiles and posted Craigslist ads to

harass his ex-girlfriend
