DAILY CIRCLE TIME (2-6 YEARS OLD) Does your child struggle to engage in circle time activities or attend to story time? Are they getting ready to or have just started kindergarten? Hands will be offering a virtual “Circle Time” clinic for children ages 3-6 years old. In this month long, 15-minute virtual clinic, young children will practice sitting for songs, stories and participating in interactive and educational activities in an online group environment. Parents are required to stay to support their child in participating as well as engage in a parent component of this virtual clinic. This clinic will include a screening session prior to attending the group as well as a post-screening session following the last day of the group. EVERYDAY - 8:45 to 9:00 am - October and November LET’S GET SOCIAL: VIRTUAL EDITION SESSION ONE (7-11 YEARS OLD) Are you finding it hard to have fun and be social in the virtual age? VIRTUAL TEEN SOCIAL (12-15 YEARS OLD)

Help your child develop the skills for creating positive peer interactions through this interactive virtual clinic. This 6-week virtual clinic will help youth, ages 12 to 15, develop and strengthen their social skills with peers in an online group environment. Youth will learn essential skills such as initiating and sustaining conversations, the appropriate use of humor and how to safely use electronic communication.  Hands’ team will provide an interactive and inclusive learning environment, allowing your youth to interact with peers and learn through exercises, practice, reflection, and discussions.

WEDNESDAYS - 4:00 to 5:30pm - October 7, 14, 21, & 28, November 4, 11. 18 & 25, December 2, 9 & 16

TRANSITION TO ADULTHOOD(16-18 YEARS OLD)

Help your youth develop the skills for independence and day-to-day routines by registering for our Transition to Adulthood Clinic, for ages 14 to 18. Participants will learn daily living skills to help develop independence, including: personal hygiene, building relationships, setting up a bank account, grocery shopping, and cooking. Your youth will learn with peers in an interactive and inclusive learning environment.

THURSDAYS- 4:00 to 5:00pm - November 12, 19 & 26, December 3

VIRTUAL AUTISM CONSULTATIONSHands’ Virtual Autism Consultations are available by video or phone from anywhere in Northern Ontario and are open to any families who have a child or youth diagnosed with Autism. Consultations will provide help on service coordination, behavioural consultation and speech-language consultation.

Available for free, every Tuesday, from 10 am to 4 pm (last session at 3 pm).

To make arrangements for a virtual session, parents should call Hands at 1.800.668.8555 ext. 1333. Hands staff will help you set up a time and decide on a video or phone consult.

VIDEO CONSULT: A member of our team will provide you with a link to join us from anywhere you have Internet access. No need to download software or have any special equipment. PHONE CONSULT: Hands will call you at the time of your session.
