The China Horizon Forum is organized by the ParisTech Franco-Chinese Friendship Association (AFCP) jointly with ParisTech and supported by the Chinese Embassy in France. There are three objectives of this forum: ! Assist the Chinese students of ParisTech to find a job or an internship; ! Assist the French students of ParisTech who are interested in a career related to
China to find a job or an internship according to their expectations; ! Provide an exchange opportunity to the French and Chinese partner companies of
the forum.
The first forum held in June 2008 was a real success. On a single day almost 300 students from the Grandes Écoles and French universities were interviewed by multiple French and Chinese companies. Since then, AFCP organizes each year the forum which attracts more and more companies and students. 27 French, Chinese and other multinational companies have participated in at least one of the forums since 2008. This year, we are dedicated to attract more participants and more companies that your presence will be a great honor. We wish to meet you this year in the next forum and will make every effort to optimize your advantages based on our experience, so that you could integrate into the Franco-Chinese economic relations in the best conditions. The goal of the ParisTech Franco-Chinese Friendship Association, or l’Association amicale franco-chinoise de ParisTech (AFCP) is to strengthen the Franco-Chinese relationship by improving the academic, professional and cultural exchanges between the two countries. Our association is open to all the students or graduates of the Grandes Écoles of ParisTech, especially to the ones who are interested in careers in China. Its aim is to:
" help the Chinese students applying to one of the programmes proposed by the schools of ParisTech;
" facilitate the reception of the Chinese or French students on their arrival in France or China, help them in their administrative approaches, and guide them in learning the French or Chinese language;
" introduce AFCP and ParisTech to the French and Chinese companies through the events organized by AFCP, including the CHINA HORIZON FORUM, the Salon AFCP, the Moon Festival ( Gala de la Lune ), the IT Professional Club, etc.

The seventh China Horizon Forum was held on 6th March 2014 in ENSTA ParisTech. In terms of attendance, about 300 participants came to attend this edition of forum which 192 have registered on our official website. Most of them were Chinese but also French and of other nationalities. Among them, many new graduates or experienced employees were seeking for a first or a new job, as well as other students were in search of a short or long term internships.
About their graduated institutions, since the forum was led and organized by AFCP, the participants came from engineering schools, business schools and Universities or Institutes. Their majors vary from Information technology, telecom, finance to medicine, mechatronics and Public covering different enterprise requirement of Chinese talents.

As for industries, 7 companies from various sectors were present: Arkema, Dragonfly Group, Faurecia, Valeo, L'OREAL, Schneider Electric and Oxylane Group. Among them, all but Oxylane Group have attended to our forum for more than time, indicating that they require more Chinese employees and appreciate so much their skills, capabilities and characters. And also this is the representative of their good growth in Chinese market during the recent years. The 7th China Horizon Forum has attracted not only French companies and medias but also Chinese ones. More and more French companies that are exploring the Chinese market contacted us shortly after the forum and asked us to prepare and organize their own proper recruitment session among them we had Schneider Electric, Valeo and PSA in 2014.

The eighth China Horizon Forum was held on 1st June 2015 in Mines Paristech. In 2015, the number of inscription in our official site rose to 205. As the last year, most participants are Chinese. Furthermore, 60% of participants held engineering degrees, and 90% held equivalent master degrees.
In terms of professional experience, the Forum is an excellent platform for the beginners. About 90% of participants are students and young graduates.

With regard to the list of participant companies, there were some new members in 2015. Besides these big companies like BMW, Dragonfly Group, Schneider Electric, Valeo, Apple Store and L’Oréal, there were also some SMEs like CGR, some associations like ACECE. Meanwhile, in the Forum, there were interviews for participants and round tables of companies.
Based on our past experience, AFCP is planning and preparing for the Forum 2016. For the purpose of enriching this activity, we think about inviting the delegates of SMEs and Startups, not only for the recruit, but also for the communication. With the focus on the sharing of their experience in new technology and business model, the Forum aims to establish a platform for multilateral interests.
