31st Annual Chamber Golf Classic
Monday, September 18, 2017 at Ridglea Country Club – North Course
The 2016 annual golf tournament will be held on Monday, September 18th on the North Course of
Ridglea Country Club. The Chamber’s Annual Golf Classic is Fort Worth’s premier private tournament
hosting 32 teams. Lunch and an afternoon of golf are followed by an Awards’ Dinner held in the
Ridglea dining room. This tournament provides a unique environment for networking with business
leaders from around Fort Worth, and is an excellent opportunity to entertain clients or reward
employees.

135th Annual Meeting The Fort Worth Chamber of Commerce’s 135th Annual Meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2017 at The
Omni Fort Worth Hotel. The Annual Meeting is an excellent opportunity for your company to gain significant

Area Councils 2017-2018
Area Councils are comprised of (5) five geographically segmented
groups –Southwest, Central, East,
North, and West areas of Tarrant County. This allows Chamber
members more extensive
participation in their neighborhood business communities through
informative programs and targeted projects. Appointed board
members guide the council and
hold meetings geared toward timely and relevant area business
issues.
Each Area Council also supports a school or program with the FWISD
such as career fairs and reading
programs.

Fort Worth Chamber Board of Directors & Executive Committee Meetings 2017-2018
The Fort Worth Chamber's Board of Directors meet quarterly at the Fort Worth Club to discuss issues, exchange
ideas and make decisions about the fulfillment of the Chamber's mission: To promote the interest of its
members by assuming a leadership role in making Fort Worth an excellent place in which to live, work and do
business.
The Executive Committee works to ensure that Chamber policies, programs, and directives are being followed
and executed in an effective manner. This group meets once a month, except for months with board meetings.
Series includes: Four Board of Directors meetings held quarterly; Executive Committee meets monthly
(excluding Board meeting months)

State of the County featuring Tarrant County Judge Glen Whitley
This annual luncheon features Tarrant County Judge B. Glen Whitley, a civic leader and certified public
accountant. He was elected Tarrant County Commissioner in 1996, representing the northeast portion of our
county, and then Tarrant County Judge in 2006. Judge Whitley presides over the Tarrant County Commissioners Court. He is a regional and state leader on matters regarding efficiently run government, transportation,

State of Education featuring Fort Worth ISD Superintendent
Superintendent of FWISD will share details about the latest ISD test scores and state ratings, and the
status of the capital improvement program.
