    Abstract

    +arious plant ums like elatin, acacia, alinic aci$, uar um, mai7e starch, an$ potato starch. ha8e

    "een use$ as "in$er in pharmaceutical formulations. But still fin$in no8el "in$er is useful in the

    pharmaceutical in$ustr! for manufacture of ta"lets. 9he 9apioca sao starch was foun$ for its "in$in

    propert!. 9apioca sao starch has "een e8aluate$ for rele8ant properties an$ use$ as a "in$er to Paracetamol

    ta"lets at concentrations of :.;, &;.; an$ &8. 9he ranules were e8aluate$ for moisture content, anle

    9he $isinteration time of ta"lets was $etermine$ accor$in to the metho$ $escri"e$ in the British

    Pharmacopoeia &II:. Si ta"lets were place$ in each compartment of the $isinteration apparatus, with water

    thermostate$ at ' & C as the me$ium. 9he ta"lets were consi$ere$ to ha8e passe$ the test after the % ta"lets passe$;

    throuh the mesh of the apparatus in &F minutes.

    Calibration Cur#e for Paraetamol:

    "in$in. 9he fria"ilit! of all the formulations "elow &.;=. 9he weiht 8ariation of all the formulations were within the

    rane of %;&)%; m. Disinteration time of all the formulations are within the official limits of B.P. H&II:J.

    9he ta"let thickness of all the formulations were similar an$ this can "e attri"ute$ to their similar "ulk an$

    tappe$ $ensities an$ same compressional force use$. 9he $iameter of all the ta"lets were same i.e. &D9 8alues increase$ with increasin "in$er concentration H9a"le J.
