VERBAL COMMUNICATIONA. ORAL Communication is the process of expressing information or ideas by word of mouth.

VERBAL COMMUNICATIONB. WRITTEN Communication involves any type of interaction that makes use of the written word.
Examples: email, letters, proposals, telegrams, faxes, postcards, contracts
NON-VERBAL COMMUNICATION NONVERBAL Communication is the process of communication through sending and receiving wordless cues between people.•Kinesics, Proxemics, Chronemics, Haptics, Paralanguage
BARRIERS TO COMMUNICATION
1. PERSONAL BARRIERS
•Barriers which are directly connected with the sender and the receiver. •Emotions, values, habits, race, gender, religion, socioeconomic status, poor listening skills
2. PHYSICAL BARRIERS•Physical barriers refer to interferences to effective communication occurring in the environment where the communication is undertaking
Examples:Noise, distance, signal jam, wrong
timing
2. SEMANTIC BARRIERS•Semantics is the study of meaning as expressed in symbol.•Semantic barriers are the misunderstandings that occur by people trying to communicate an idea, but simultaneously having completely different meanings in mind for the words.
