Ask coaches to confirm the names of those individuals who are on the team as of the first date of regularseason com petition, and cros: out the names of those who were cut from the team or quit the team priorto the first regular season competitive event. Determ ine the total number of interscholastic athleticsparticipants that are girls, (and place in Row 1, Column 3). In order to determine the total number ofathietics padicipants, an individual should be counted each time he or she padicipates on a team . Forexample, if Jane Doe competes on the varsity volleyball team, the junior varsity volleyball team, the jtlniorvarsity basketball team, and the varsity soflball teamt she should be counted as four participants (do notinclude club or intramural spods padicipants, cheerleaders, dance teams, or pom squads).

The following was discussed:

The softball field has been repaired to correct the problem of the field not draining waterproperly. Several drains have beeo placed on the field and currently the M onroe County M iddleSchool softball team is using the field, The drains have helped correct the problem.

Both girls and boys soccer season is tlnderway. Nttmbers on both teams are low. Each team hasjtlst enongh to tield a team. The committee felt the reason for the 1ow numbers is due to studentinterest in the sport.

The girl's volleyball team is having a successful season. They have won a1l four matches theyhave participated in and will be playing in the Class CtA'' Regional tournament this weekend inClinton Cotmty.

Our cross-country team has had one meçt. W e have four girls and one boy on the team. W e hadtwo girls to place in the top nine inishers at the t'irst meet.

Currelzt falt sports are golf, soeeer, cross-countty, volleybatl and football.

The girl's locker room will be receiving flew lockers this fall. The old metal lockers will bereplaced with wooden lockers.

The Title IX report for the 2008-2009 school year has been received and is acceptable. W e werenot ehoscn fo? an audit for the 2009-2010 school year.

lssues discussed:. Soflball field,has been seeded and needs to be rolled before the season begins.. Girls' volleyball had a very successful season. Jessa Curtis, student athlete, added

that the girls had a 25-5 record for the 2009 season. They were the semi-fènalistth j tlae -.u)in the Logan Co. tournament, district cham ps for the 7 year n a row, won

t'A3' 4th ion tourney and finished 2Dd in the bronze division in Class $çA'' State.reg* There is a proposed realignment for the girls/boys soccer district. The athletic

directors at M CH S declined the proposal due to the distance our student athleteswould have to travel for district ptay. The athletic directors at M CHS are lookingat other options which include m oving to the 3 $iA'' division or playing anindependent schedule.

. The soccer field needs six new light poles. The cost of each light pole isapproximately $1500. The existing poles are old and too tall for the electriccompan.y to reach the bulbs.Cassady Carter finished fourth in the region in cross-country and also qualiEed

The comm ittee approved the spring agenda and reviewed and approved the winter Title

* Soccer alignment went well. W e got in the region we needed to be in to reducetravel mld meet the needs of otlr student athletes.

* The soocer field has been seeded and follow-up wi11 continue for lighting on thetield.

. There will be a sandpit ready for the track team for the 2010 season.W ork continues on the cross country track atld there are hopes of hosting m eets infall 2010.New lockers are now being installed for the girls' basltetball team .

@ Tennis - has a 15 match season sehedule for 2010. There are nine girls and sevenboys on the team . Ricky M iller is the new girls coach. A1l m atches will beplayed aw ay. Two courts are being built at the M onroe County W ellness Centerand we hope to be able to use these facilities for oar tennis team when they arecom plete.Track - Thirty-three girls have com e out for girls track for the 2010 season.These are a eombination of middle and high school students. There eleven boyson the boys track team . There will be six m eets fol' the 2010 season a1l beingaway and the meets will begin after spring break.

. Soflball - there are twelve high school girls and six m iddle school girls m aking upthe varsity 2010 soflball team . They have a thirty-six game regular season andtournam ent schedule. There are seventeen baseball players,Coach Petett shared that we have great student participation for spring sports. W ehave m ore fem ale athletes for spring sports tha,n males.Coach Petett also shared w'ith the coaches that Ronnie Butler is available to helpwith athletic facilities. Coaches need to contact an athletic director and then theywill communicate the need to M r. Butler. Coach Petett asked the coaches to m akea list of things tlley need completed with their facilities so M r.
