Summary project
In 2016 Lodz University of Technology start cooperation with Lidzbark Warmiński. Cittaslow
concept was attracted for student, and they decide to visit Lidzbark Warmiński – one of the Polish Cittaslow Town. After meeting with Mayor Jacek Wiśniowski, town sightseeing and research conducted in town, students write three studies about:
1. Concept of development of public spaces in the city center; 2. Concept of information and tourism signage; 3. Study of selected aspects of quality of life in the city.
During the Cittaslow Week in September students conducted lessons for children and teenagers about urban development. After that students, doctor Strzelecka and a Lidzbark Warmiński inhabitants write a monography published by Publishing house of Lodz University of Technology. Cooperation is continued and we plan future action in 2017. Goal project
Goal of this project was introduction Cittaslow idea for Circula Students Science Club and
information exchange about urban design and urban development models.
Result project
After research about models of urban development Publishing House of Lodz University of Technology published monography titled “Alternatywne modele rozwoju miast. Sieć Miast Cittaslow” (eng. Alternative models of urban development. Cittaslow Network) edited by Elżbieta Strzelecka. This monography are set of articles about Cittaslow idea in urban development.
