The International Society for Oil Palm Breeders (ISOPB),

Indonesian Oil Palm Research Institute (IOPRI) and

Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) are organising the

International Seminar on Oil Palm Breeding and Seed

Production on 30 September 2016 in Kisaran, Indonesia.

Pre-seminar field visits to the Research Stations of PT

Socfindo in Aek Loba and PT ASD-Bakrie in Kisaran are

organised on 29 September 2016.

The Seminar and Field visits are held in conjunction with

the Sixth IOPRI-MPOB International Seminar on Current

Research and Management of Pests, Ganoderma, and

Pollination in Oil Palm for Higher Productivity on 27-29

September 2016 in Medan, Indonesia.

To disseminate the latest progress in the science of

oil palm breeding and selection; and

To outline the techniques in oil palm seed production.

The seminar is suitable for breeders, seed producers,

nursery operators, tissue culturists, biotechnologists,

agronomists, entomologists, plant pathologists, plant

physiologists, policy makers, planters, managers,

researchers, academia, consultants, students and those

interested in oil palm breeding and seed production.

A refund of 50% will be made for written cancellation received

by 15 August 2016. Refund will not be applicable thereafter. A

substitute participant is allowable at no additional cost.
