Questions/Answers:

1. Question: What is the budget for this project? Answer: There is approved funding for this project. Gwinnett County expects each contractor to bid a competitive price. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.

2. Question: The project manual indicates that ALTERNATE NO 1 is for the three wall mounted displays and ALTERNATE NO 2 is for the annotation monitor. The drawings (AV301 and AV302) show the reverse in numbering. Should the manual supersede the drawings for pricing? Answer: Bid form takes precedent and plans are to be revised. See Plan revisions in this Addendum.

3. Question: Will there be an area for staging and a dumpster? Answer: Yes. Staging may occur within the room as well as in the driveway/hardscape area just east of the Ivy Room. This area east of the Ivy Room may also accommodate a dumpster. Repairing any pavement damage caused by the dumpster is the responsibility of the Contractor.

4. Question: Can the County give an approximate start date? Answer: The anticipated start day is expected to be January 2019.

5. Question: How is the Contractor to deal with dust control? Answer: Dust control

is required during the construction phase and the means and methods are the contractor’s responsibility to include and insure adjacent rooms remain clean and clear during hours of operation.

6. Question: Plans call out for flooring to remain? Answer: Section details 1/A3-01 and 2/A3-01 state “new carpet tile C-1 on existing floor”, intent was to remove existing carpet and adhesives on existing floor slab, clean and prep slab to received new carpet tile installation.

7. Question: Can the manufacturer of the east glass wall be identified? Answer: No.

8. Question: When will the Contractor be allowed to access the site? Answer:

During hours of operation. Arrangements may possibly be made with Gwinnett County after the award of the contract for work access outside hours of operation.

9. Question: Section 27 4100 Section 1.08 Part A Item 17 references underground

raceways. Are there any underground raceways in the project? Answer: There are no underground raceways in the project.

10. Question: Drawing AV300 - Wall Mounted Scheduling Signage. Samsung DB10E-

POE is EOL and has not been replaced by a current model. Please advise on a suitable substitution. Answer: The Samsung DB10E-POE is available and is to remain in the bid.

11. Question: Drawing AV301 – Annotation Monitor, Smart SP 524 is EOL. Smart replacement is the SP624P. Please confirm as a suitable substitution. Answer: Yes, the SP624P is a suitable substitution and what needs to be bid instead of the Smart SP 524.

12. Question: Drawing AV302 – Add Alternate #2 – Display additions. Submitting LG

65UU340C as substitution. Cut sheets; attached. Answer: We will not evaluate substitutions until after the bid has opened. The burden falls on the contractor to prove equivalency.

13. Question: Does Gwinnett Co have the original uncompressed Crestron code

available to share with the awarded vendor? Answer: No.
