We do follow-up checks with eachand every foreign worker to ensure that theLMO confirmation and employmentcontracts are followed to protect bothparties.

We do not charge a PLACEMENT FEE orRECRUITMENT FEE. It is PROHIBITED for ANYemployment agency located anywhere toimpose a PLACEMENT FEE or RECRUITMENTFEE to any individual who is looking foremployment or for having placed an individualfor employment in Canada.

Expedited LMOTo meet the immediate needs of employers,a new pilot project, E-LMO (Expedited LabourMarket Opinion) has just been implementedby the Government of Canada for positionslocated in Alberta and British Columbia toexpedite the approval process to hiretemporary foreign workers. Hiring ProcessIn almost all cases, foreign workers musthave a valid work permit to work in Canada. The basic steps in hiring foreign workers arethe following:1. Submission of application Application for aLabour Market Opinion (LMO)) to theService Canada Centre responsible forprocessing applications.

2. HRSDC issues a n LMO confirmation letter.

3. The foreign national applies for a workpermit from Citizenship and ImmigrationCanada (CIC).

NEXT, CIC decides whether the foreign work-er will get a work permit according to therequirements to work and reside temporarilyin Canada.

Before confirming a job offer, HRSDC consid-ers whether or not the job offer is genuine, the wages and working conditions arecomparable to those offered to Canadiansworking in the occupation, the foreign work-er is filling a labour shortage , among otherfactors.

The Temporary Foreign Worker Programprovides temporary solution and provideslong term gain to the success of businesseswho are participating in the program.

If your business is not operating at full poten-tial due to labour shortage, there is an optionavailable for Canadian businesses, throughthe federal government’s Temporary ForeignWorker Program (TFWP). This program isadministered by two federal governmentdepartments:

1) (HRSDC) Human Resources and SocialDevelopment Canada / Service Canada; and

2) (CIC) Citizenship and Immigration Canada
