He lives wih his parents at Kampung Rahmat. He studies at SK Kampung Rahmat with his best friends. He has many hobbies like reading, jogging and fishing. When he grows up, he wants to be a pilot. Ahmad is twelve years old. He is a good son of Encik Rahman and Puan Aminah. He lives wih his parents at Kampung Rahmat. He studies at SK Kampung Rahmat with his best friends. One late evening, Ahmad was with his friends fishing at the river in their village. They enjoyed their fishing until the day was dark. When they walked home, they cannot find their way back. Ahmad was very afraid and started crying. Suddenly he lost his way. He shouted for help but unfortunately his friends were far leaving him at the jungle.

Ahmad tried to get out from the jungle but the day getting dark and he was unable to walk. He stopped at one big tee and kept crying. Suddenly he heard a strange sound from behind the big tree he was standing. To his surprise, it was a tiger. Ahmad was very terrified and without a second thought he climbed the tree for his life. He shouted for help but no one heard his screaming because the day started to rain and became noisy. Suddenly Ahmad lost his balance and fell from the tree and went straight to the river. He was very wet.

Suddenly Ahmad awakened and actually he was having a nightmare. His mother was beside him when he woke up. He asked his mother what happened to him and his mother explained that he fell from his bed due to a dream. His mother advised him not to watch scary movies late at night again. He promised to his mother that he would never watch scary movies again and he also promised to avoid watching television very late.

MERDEKA DAY CELEBATION AT SCHOOL

(SAMBUTAN HARI KEMERDEKAAN DI SEKOLAH)

Azam is a twelve years old son of Encik Azmi and Puan Azimah. He lives in the city of Kuantan with his loving parents. He studies at SK Bandar Kuantan with his best friends. Azam is a loving, honest and hardworking boy. His friends and teachers love him very much. He is a class monitor of his class. His ambition is to become a soldier just like his father. His father is a retired soldier. His father always tells him a story about Merdeka day.

One day, after having a recess at the canteen with his friends, Azam walked to the library. There was a notice board nearby the library. There was a new notice pasted there. Azam was interested to know further. He then read the notice and found out that his school had organized one special competition for Merdeka Day celebration at his school. The competition was to find the best and most patriotic classroom. The prizes were interesting. The winner will get the trophy and a prize-money.

Without further delay, Azam looked for his classmates and told about the competition. They agreed to take part in the competition. They went to see their class teacher, Puan Ani and she gave permission to them to try their best and she also helped them with the competition.

Azam and is friends started to decorate their classroom. They hung the flags everywhere in their classroom. Some of them painted a beautiful mural about Merdeka at the class wall while the girls put some beautiful ribbons and artificial hibiscus at every desk in the classroom. Their classroom looked beautiful and became a centre of attention.

During the assembly, the headmaster announced the winner for the competition. Azam and his friends were very excited to know the result. Then the headmaster announced Azam’s class had won the competition. Azam and his friends jumped to their joys and excitement. They class teacher were happy too. Azam received a trophy and prize-money from the headmaster. They were all very happy and be proud of themselves.

PREPARING A TAPIOCA DESSERT

(MENYEDIAKAN PENCUCI MULUT DARIPADA UBI KAYU)

Siti is twelve years old. She is a good daughter of Encik Rahman and Puan Aminah. She lives with her loving parents in the city of Kuantan. She has many best friends. She studies at SK Bandar Kuantan. Siti loves cooking and decorating the house. She always helps her mother with the daily chores. She is very hardworking and obedient girl. Her parents and friends love her very much.

One day. Siti followed her mother to the wet market nearby their house. Her mother wanted to buy some fresh vegetables and fish. Her mother planned to prepare a special tapioca dessert for their family. They went to look for the tapioca and the other ingredients. Siti was never cooking the tapioca dessert before so she was very excited when her mother decided to teach her how to prepare the dessert.

Siti and her mother reached home after spending some time at the wet market. They bought the things for the tapioca dessert. Her mother asked her to first wash the tapioca can cleaned it neatly. She then peeled the tapioca skins carefully while her mother prepared the ingredients. Siti then helped her mother to grate the tapioca before her mother mixed all the ingredients. Her mother then put the tapioca dessert into the oven before it was cooked.

After thirty minutes in the oven, the tapioca dessert was ready to be served. Siti prepared the drinks while her mother got the tapioca dessert ready. Siti and her family enjoyed the tapioca dessert happily. Siti was very happy because she had a new experience and new thig to learn from her mother. She planned to prepare the tapioca dessert again for her family. Her parents were very proud of her.

A FAREWELL PARTY FOR CLASS TEACHER(JAMUAN PERPISAHAN UNTUK GURU KELAS)

Farah is studying in Year 6. She is the class monitor of her class. She has a very kind and dedicated class teacher, Madam Lim. Madam Lim would leave the school soon to further her study overseas. Farah and her classmates planned to have a farewell party for their class teacher.

After the meeting with all her classmates, they started to prepare for the farewell party. They cleaned the classroom and arranged the chairs and desks in order. Then they decorated their classroom beautifully.

Some of the girls were busy preparing food and drinks for the farewell party. They cooked the food and made the drinks themselves. The boys helped to hang the banner.

When the day came, they were very excited. Their class teacher gave a speech and some useful advice to them. After the speech, they began to eat. They enjoyed the food very much. Madam Lim praised for the food as it was tasty. Before the party ended, the class gave Madam Lim a present as a token of their appreciation for her.

Puan Nora is a teacher in SK Taman Jaya. She is fifty years old. She is a kind and responsible lady. End of last month, she was transferred to a new school as a headmistress.

Last Friday, the school organized a farewell party for her. The teachers and pupils were busy decorating the hall with colourful ribbons and balloons a day before. They also swept the floor and cleaned the window panes. The preparation work was completed late in the evening.

On Friday morning, the pupils assembled in the school hall. The headmaster delivered his short speech. Then, Puan Nora gave her farewell speech. She advised the pupils to study hard. She said she was sad to leave the school and the pupils of the school. There were some performances such as dancing, poem recital and others performed by the pupils. At noon, the teachers were invited to have lunch with Puan Nora. The organising committee had prepared ‘nasi beriyani’ at the school canteen. Everyone enjoyed the food.
