- 1. Motion
- When an object changes position over time in comparison to a reference point.
2. Reference Point
- A point from which motion can be determined.
3. Frame of reference
- A viewpoint or perspective in which motion occurs; can be different from others because it is based on your position.
4. Speed
- The distance an object travels due to force over time.
- (A rate used to explain motion)
Speed = distance / time 5. Force
- A push or pull on an object.
6. Balanced Forces
- Forces equal and opposite of each other resulting in zero net force.
- (*No change in Motion)
7. Unbalanced Forces
- Are unequal forces resulting in a change inspeed and/or direction of motion.
- (*Results in a Net Force)
