Saint Louis University welcomes local and foreign students alike subject to University admission policies, requirements, and academic standards and pertinent laws of the Republic of the Philippines.1. Undergraduate Freshmen Students: Undergraduate applicants are

those who just completed their high school/ secondary program or its equivalent thus earned the eligibility for admission to college. They have to undergo and pass the SLU College Entrance Examination (SLU-CEE) and must qualify within the slots duly determined for their chosen course. The regular SLU-CEE is conducted on weekends from the middle of October up to the middle of December while special SLU-CEE may be scheduled under special circumstances. Admission for first semester starts on the middle of April. [Foreign students should be well advised of the policies for foreign students cited below].

2. Foreign Students: Foreign students should apply not later than 6 months before the start of the academic term, namely June for the 1st semester, November for the 2nd semester, and April for Summer term.

All incoming undergraduate foreign students from any non-English speaking country, as a rule, must take and pass the SLU English Proficiency Test (EPT); failure to pass the EPT means that the foreign student cannot proceed yet to take the SLU-CEE. The student is, however, recommended to attend the five (5) month SLU English Proficiency Program (EPP) under the Institute of Foreign Languages and International Studies (IFLIS). After successfully completing and passing the EPP, the student is cleared to take the SLU-CEE.

Regular EPT is conducted on November 12, 26, and December 10, 2011 at the SLU Guidance Center; the SLU-CEE for foreign students who passed the EPT is scheduled on December 18, 2011. However, for those who were not able to take the EPT and SLU CEE earlier in November and December, Special EPT and Special SLU CEE are conducted in April 2012.

After passing the SLU-CEE all incoming undergraduate foreign students take the Personality Test and Interview.

3. Transfer Students: SLU admits tranferees in all courses except Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science subject to their compliance with pertinent requirements and guidelines. They must undergo a Qualifying Examination and if qualified, will take the Personality Test and Interview. Foreign students applying as transferee are subject to the rule on EPT.

4. Graduate Program Students: Applicants for graduate studies are required to take the Graduate Program Entrance Examination (GPEE) and the interview to be conducted by the Graduate Program Coordinator and/or School Dean.
