For the QC series DVR/NVR series the following is the update process. It

should be noted that this process can take up to 1-3 minutes.

STEP 1: First ensure that your DVR/NVR is connected to your network

with an Ethernet cable and powered up with its power supply.

STEP 2: Now on the same network, go your computer, open up the

software Config Tool. This will open up the application.

STEP 3: Once opened you will need to do the following:

Review the DVR/NVR’s IP address to make sure it appears.

If it does not then you will need to click on the refresh screen.

STEP 4: Once the DVR/NVR’s IP address shows then click on the

Upgrade button:

STEP 5: Now highlight the DVR/NVR line.

STEP 6: Now click on the “Open” button.

STEP 7: In this window you will need to find the firmware that you need

in order to update the DVR/NVRs.

Select the file and click on Open

STEP 8: The file will appear in the left hand text box under the window

of IP addresses.

STEP 9: Click on the “Upgrade” button.

Note: You will see the Config Tool Log into your System, send the

firmware and show the progress of the update.

STEP 10: Once complete your DVR/NVR will reboot.

Note: To check the system for the Update you will need to use a

Monitor and review the menus of the system.
