International Summer Program 2020 This year will mark the fifth installment of MGIMO University’s highly                     successful Summer Program. Building upon feedback gained from previous                 years, several changes have been made to the Program to ensure that                       incoming participants will be able to partake in the most engaging                     Academic course possible, in combination with an unforgettable cultural                 experience.

From July 5th - July 28th 2020, students will attend a completely revamped course at the modern                                 Odintsovo Campus of MGIMO University, which is located in one of the “Greenest” and most prestigious                               districts of the Moscow Region, and only minutes away from the Russian Capital. The updated Summer                               Program will incorporate two formerly separate courses - Russian Foreign Policy and Russian Energy                           Policy - into one versatile, comprehensive program.

The 2020 Summer Program will provide our students with the necessary knowledge to bridge the                             gap between Russian Foreign, Domestic and Energy Policy - giving them a deeper understanding of the                               contemporary geopolitical situation in Europe and the world, and providing insight into the                         inner-workings of Russian policy making. To facilitate this learning experience, our staff of acclaimed                           university professors, prominent politicians, experienced diplomats and renowned experts have developed                     a directed and cohesive program, which tackles all the most important aspects of Russian Foreign Policy,                               such as: legislative issues and historical context, strategic challenges, national and energy security,                         and international energy cooperation in a world of trade wars and unilateral sanctions. Students will                             attend daily lectures and seminars, take part in group projects and presentations, and attend guest-speaker                             events - all of which will be conducted exclusively in English . At the end of the program, students will                                     receive a course transcript and an official certificate of completion from MGIMO, awarding them 5 ECTS                               credits in Russian Foreign Policy, 4 ECTS credits in Russian Energy Policy and 4 ECTS credits in Russian                                   Language Studies.

Our students will also attend Russian Language classes in groups, based on their level of                             proficiency - ranging from absolute beginners to advanced Russian speakers. On top of the academic                             experience, attending students will also take part in an extensive, well-rounded extracurricular program,                         which entails several trips to the most famous landmarks, museums and general attractions in the                             Moscow Region , and to some locations that are off the beaten path as well! Possible destinations include                                 the Kremlin and Red Square, Zaryadye Park, Tretyakov Gallery, Patriot Park, Cathedral of Christ the Savior,                               WWII Victory Museum, State Duma, Moscow City and more.

The tuition fee for the 2020 Summer Program is 2950 euros - this includes application processing,                               visa support, course tuition, guest speaker lectures, at least five off-campus excursions (including                         transportation and tickets), on-campus events, the use of sports facilities, Wi-Fi, a certificate of completion                             (upon graduation) and a MGIMO souvenir. Accommodation can be found right on campus at MGIMO.                           Summer Program students are eligible for a special rate at the MGIMO Hotel for the duration of their stay.                                     Also on campus, athletically inclined participants will make good use of MGIMO’s world-class sports                           facilities , including several gyms and a full-sized pool. More detailed information, and the registration form                             can be found on the Summer Program website: SUMMERSCHOOLMGIMO.RU
