Tony Veldkamp, CCIM serves as the Managing Director of Sperry

Van Ness, Commercial Advisory Group headquartered in beautiful

downtown Sarasota, Florida. His office has a primary focus on

Manatee, Sarasota and Charlotte Counties but provides services to

their clients throughout Florida and the U.S. utilizing the Sperry Van

Ness national/international platform. Tony specializes in the sale

three-county area known as the Sun Coast. With over twenty two

years of commercial real estate experience exclusively in this area,

he has numerous sales and leasing transactions with a career sales

volume in excess of $125 Million.

Prior to joining Sperry Van Ness, Tony served as a 12-year veteran

Commercial Broker for Michael Saunders & Company here in

Sarasota. He specialized in land and development, but also handled

office and industrial buildings, retail, and apartment complexes.

Previously, he served as a Commercial Broker for Brown Real Estate

in Bradenton, Florida where Tony specialized in farms and ranches,

large acreage tracts, and land for development. Prior to his term at

Brown Real Estate, Tony began his real estate career here on the

SunCoast as a real estate appraiser in 1991, just after receiving a

Bachelors of Science Degree in Real Estate from Florida State

University.

Career highlights for Tony included earning the highly coveted

CCIM designation in 2005, and while he was at Michael Saunders &

Company had the highest benchmark sale in 2003, was top

individual producer in 2007 and 2009, and multi-year winner of the

Team Player award for the Commercial Division.

Tony is currently a member of the West Florida Chapter of CCIM

Institute, the Commercial Investment Division of the Sarasota

Association of Realtors where he is also a member of the Board, and

the Manatee & Sarasota County Economic Development Councils.

Office Vacancy Committee. Previously he has served on the board

of the Sarasota Scullers Youth Rowing Program, was the Parent

President of Sarasota Scullers, Director of Men's Ministries at

Church of the Redeemer (Episcopal), and Riverview High School

Kiltie and Football Boosters.

Tony very much enjoys life along the Sun Coast with his wife

Debbie, a native of Bradenton, and their four children; 21, 19, 16

and 7. They enjoy boating, hiking, and family time.
