For safer, cycle friendly, quieter streets for residents to ride, walk & park without danger
Drakefell Road is a Key Link in Telegraph Hill to • Brockley & Nunhead Stations • Haberdasher Aske’s Schools • Christ The King Sixth Form College • Telegraph Hill Parks • Telegraph Hill Centre
But It has become a dangerous torrent of traffic, it severs the community and is a ‘rat run’ for lorries and vans. Its blocked and broken pavements force pedestrians into the path of danger.
Drakefell Road is noisy and dangerous – it’s not working for residents or visitors
For safer, cycle friendly, quieter streets for residents to ride, walk & park without danger
• Drivers are forced to park on pavements
to avoid damage to their cars • The 20 mph zone can be ignored and
lorries and vans speed through our street • Pavements are blocked for older people,
people with buggies or children and the disabled
• Pedestrians are forced into the road because of pavement parking
• Children take the bus for just one stop because they can’t safely get to school
• Residents are fearful and intimidated
This results in a double whammy
