The Prophet (PBUH) said: “There are no days

more beloved to Allah that he be worshipped in

them than the ten days of Dhu al-Hijjah, fasting

every day of them is equivalent to fasting a year;

and standing every night of them (in Salah) is

equivalent to standing on the Night of Qadr“.

Dhul HijjahHadith about

The ten days of Dhul-Hijjah include Yawm

al-Arafah (the Day of Arafah), on which Allah

perfected His Religion.

The Prophet (PBUH) said: “Fasting on the day

of Arafah is an expiation for two years (of

wrongdoings), the year preceding it and the

year following it.” (Muslim)

Did you know? It’s sunnah to recite takbeer

(Allahu Akbar), tahmeed (Alhamdulillah), tahleel

(Laa ilaaha ill-Allah), and tasbeeh (SubhanAllah) in

the first ten days of Dhul Hijjah.

“O Turner of the hearts, keep my heart firm

لنا ما � طاقة لنا به واعف عن�ا واغفر لنا وارحمنا أنت رب�نا و� تحم�

مو�نا فان�نا ع� القوم الكافرين

“Our Lord! Impose not on us that which we have

not the strength to bear, grant us forgiveness and

have mercy on us. You are our Protector. Help us

against those who deny the truth.” (2:286)

Rabbanā walā tuhammil’nā mā lā tāqata lanā

bihi wa’fu annā wagh’fir lanā war’hamnā anta

mawlānā fan-sur’nā alāl qawmil kāfirīn

الل�هم� رحمتك أرجو ف� تكلني إ� نف� طرفة ع�،

وأصلح � شأ� كل�ه � إله إ�� أنت

“O Allah, it is Your mercy that I hope for, so do

not leave me in charge of my affairs even for

a blink of an eye, and rectify for me all of my

affairs. None has the right to be worshiped

except You.” (Abu Dawud)

Allahumma rahmataka arju, fala takilni ila

nafsi tarfata ‘ayn, wa as-lih li sha’ni kul-lahu,

la illaha il-la anta

رب�نا آتنا ¦ الدنيا حسنة و¦ ا¥خرة حسنة وقنا عذاب الن�ار

“Our Lord! Grant us good in this world and

good in the life to come and keep us safe

from the torment of the Fire” (2:201)

protection against every kind of harm in the earth

ardhi wa la fis-samā’i wa huwas-sami’ul āleem

from us our misdeeds and cause us to die
