What employers say about volunteering...
Sainsbury's is committed to making a positive difference to the communities served by our stores,
for example, through our Local Heroes scheme. We recognise the importance of encouraging
and supporting volunteering and acknowledge the difference that it makes, not only for staff in terms
of professional and personal development, but also for the local communities which they support.
Sainsbury’s
We believe in the power of
volunteering in giving people from all walks of life the opportunity to
learn new skills, meet new people, gain new experiences and grow in self-confidence. Not only do those who volunteer gain experience for their own development but the new skills, knowledge and perspective they bring back into our business
is invaluable.
