The answers will keep you grounded and focused on what’s most important.

Ask For His View First.A great way to show dad respect is to ask for his view before sharing yours. If he has trouble sharing his view, remain calm. Tell him not to worry about how you might react to his view. Ask him questions, such as “What do you think?” and “What is your view?”

Create Mutual Respect.Tell dad that you respect him in general and his view about the issue at hand. Ask him whether he respects you and your view. If either of you finds it difficult to respect the other person, at least agree to respect the other’s view about the issue for the sake of your children. Ensure that you have mutual respect before the talk begins.
