Summer Youth Art Classes Start in June

Pat Schemmer of Valentine and the Valentine Youth Activities Office will be hosting visual fine artand digital photography classes in the months of June and July. All supplies will be provided andgiven to the students at the end of the classes for continuing exploration in art. There is a limitedamount of space in these classes so registration is on a first come basis .

Twelve different art classes will be held Tuesday and Thursday through the month of June and 3weeks into July at the Valentine Youth Activities Directors office on the corner of 3 rd and Ray St..Photography class will be every other Wednesday. The Photography class can be taken with or without the art classes.

Art mediums explored will include colored pencils, graphite drawing, print making, clay carving,acrylic painting, water color painting and oil pastels. Projects can be completed by any age group.Students should have already completed Kindergarten. Art class dates and times are June 2 nd, 7 th, 9 th,21 st, 23 rd, 28 th and 30 th, July 5 th, 7 th, 12 th, 14 th, and 19 th at 9:00-12:00 PM. Photography class time anddates are June 1 st, 22 nd, July 13 th and 27 th at 1:00- 4:00 PM. There will be no classes during the week of the Missoula Children’s Theater.

Registration is limited and the deadline is May 30 th. Learn the basics of digital photography andcomputer adjustments. Photos will beeligible for entry at the Cherry Co. fair openshow competition. Must have a digitalcamera. 1.
