The flagship also features a homeware and gifting sections including products by Assouline, Teixidors, Rani Arabella, Carl Auböck, Hector Saxe, Ex Voto, Klaar Prims, David Derksen, Skagerak, Bowers & Wilkins, Geneva and Poglia & Co. Etiquette kids and baby socks will also be featured in the kids “concept” corner alongside NY native brands Atsuyo et Akiko, Oeuf, Tamar Mogendorff, Makie Clothier and other staples like Vilac, Donna Wilson, Twoolies, Scholastic and Penguin books. The boutique is prestigiously located at 166 Willemsparkweg (WP166) and the corner of Cornelis Schuytstraat. The main entrance large Belgian bluestone steps and oversized curved wooden framed windows skillfully frame the historic 1920’s building. Pristine “Amsterdam School” expressionist style architectural details set the rhythm of the exterior façade and blend it into the local Old South landscape. Etiquette Clothiers opens its first flagship store in Amsterdam (Netherlands), on the renowned Willemsparkweg and the corner of Cornelis Schuytstraat and bordering the Vonderlpark. The entrance leads to a showcase of Etiquette’s craftsmanship of products with samples of yarns, fit forms, and other skillful manufacturing tools. From here, the visitor is introduced to the select sections featuring carefully curated products dedicated to: mens socks, mens underwear, mens lifestyle apparel, baby/kids socks and apparel, homeware essentials, and gifts. The six main categories are displayed inside dove grey wood fixtures with matte black steel and chocolate brown emperador marble accents, specially designed for each product. The natural white oak herringbone hardwood floors lead the visitors to large back windows, which overlook the boutique’s serene Japanese-style garden. The walls are outfitted with exclusively made artwork and installations by artists Jonny Detiger, Tamar Mogendorff and David Derksen while exclusive furniture editions by B&B Italia and Pastoe complete the setting. The under floor, housing the new Etiquette Clothiers European offices and showroom, can be seen through the glass floor at the entrance of the boutique. The terra- cota original 1950’s floors are contrasted by stark white furniture and fixtures, while bright color hues of product samples bring the space to life.

In August this year, Etiquette Clothiers also opened its European office based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. While New York (USA) will remain the headquarters for North American sales and global creative, the new presence in Amsterdam will focus on sales, distribution and logistics by catering to Etiquette’s network of agents and distributors across Europe, Middle East and Asia.

Benjamin Vergnion is a Swiss-born American Fashion Designer. He grew up influenced by the renowned Helvetic design, structure and a fair share of international exposure living in Geneva, London, Hong Kong and Monaco. He moved to New York in 1992 and attended the New York University Stern School of Business. After a 5-year private banking experience at Chase and DLJ, followed by several positions as Art and Creative Director in prominent design firms, Benjamin Vergnion has assumed the role of Chief Executive and Creative Director of his own NY-based agency Buro Creative in 2002. In 2009 he made his way into the fashion arena by financing the launch and marketing of several brands including Spring Court 1936 and Happy Socks. From 2010-2012 he was also a contributor at online fashion journal Selectism. In 2012 he launched his most recent venture Etiquette Clothiers, a luxury fashion basics brand. Since the launch, Etiquette became a global standard for high quality essentials including socks, underwear, swimwear and shirts that can be found at some of the most notable retailers globally.
