The Taney County Health Department (TCHD) has just been notified of an individual who tested positive for COVID-19 after visiting the Branson area. The individual who tested positive does not reside in Taney County.

This is an itinerary of places that the individual visited while in the area.

Branson Zipline at Wolf Mountain in Walnut Shade -Saturday, May 30th between 2:30 -3:30 pm

Track #4 at The Track Family Fun Parks in Branson- Saturday, May 30th between 4:00 -6:30 pm

Mellow Mushroom at the Branson Landing- Saturday, May 30th between 9:15 pm -10:15 pm

Maurices at Tanger Outlets Branson- Sunday, May 31st between 11:00 am- 12:00 pm

If you visited any of these establishments during these days and times, your risk of contracting COVID-19 is considered low. However, you should monitor for symptoms for 14 days following the date of potential exposure.

The Taney County Health Department (TCHD) has confirmed the 14th case of COVID-19 in Taney County. The individual is currently isolating at home. All known close contacts will be notified and be placed under quarantine. The case has no known connection to a previous case, and is considered community spread at this time.

The Taney County Health Department (TCHD) confirms five new cases of COVID-19 in Taney County.

The Taney County Health Department (TCHD) confirms three new cases of COVID-19 in Taney County

for a total of 24 cases. At this time, the source of the three new cases is unknown and considered

community spread. Close contacts will be notified and quarantine at home. All identified locations

visited by individuals testing positive for COVID-19 have also been notified.

As of June 14, 2020, 6:30pm, the following has been identified as having been visited by one individual

The Taney County Health Department (TCHD) has confirmed the 26th case of COVID-19 in Taney County. The Communicable Disease Team has been in touch with the individual who is isolating at home. All close contacts have been notified and are in quarantine.

“We also want to update the community on case number 25.” states Lisa Marshall, Director of TCHD, “The Communicable Disease Team has completed its investigation and has confirmed that there was no community exposure for case 25.”

COVID-19 is spread through respiratory droplets produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes. It spreads between people who are in close contact with one another. The best way to control the spread of COVID-19 is to wear a face covering or mask and practice social distancing, hand hygiene and avoiding crowded areas.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASETaney County Health Department Confirms 27th COVID-19 Case and Itinerary of Symptomatic Visitor

June 17, 2020 4:30 PM

The Taney County Health Department (TCHD) confirms the 27th case of COVID-19 in Taney County. Investigation completed by the TCHD’s Communicable Disease Team revealed the individual was a contact from another case and was quarantined at home prior to the positive diagnosis. They did not travel anywhere and there are no close contacts to notify.

TCHD is also alerting the community regarding a symptomatic visitor, who later tested positive for COVID-19 in their home state.

“We want the community to know that a visitor from out of state has also tested positive.” states Lisa Marshall, Director of TCHD, “The person had symptoms during their visit and tested positive after returning home.”

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Taney County Health Department Investigating Possible COVID-19 Outbreak at Tequila 2 in Branson

June 19, 2020 - 8:00 PM

The Taney County Health Department (TCHD), in conjunction with the Stone County Health Department

(SCHD), is investigating a possible COVID-19 outbreak at Tequila 2 on Gretna Road in Branson, MO.

TCHD thanks Tequila 2 for voluntarily and immediately closing after being alerted to the suspected

outbreak and for their future cooperation as both health departments work to identify exposed individuals

and possible dates of exposure for the public.

At this time, TCHD asks all Tequila 2 employees that suspect they have been in close contact with a

suspected or confirmed COVID-19 case to quarantine at home and to refrain from leaving their home for

any reason other than to receive medical care.

This investigation is ongoing; more information will be released as it becomes available.

TCHD would like to remind the public of the importance of seeking testing if they have the symptoms of

COVID-19.

June 19, 2020

The Taney County Health Department (TCHD) has confirmed 3 new cases of COVID-19 in Taney County. This brings the case count to 30 with, 2 deaths, 13 recovered and 15 active cases.

All of the new cases are residents of Taney County.

The 28th case was a close contact of a previous case and has been isolating at home and has had no contact with anyone outside of their household.

The Taney County Health Department (TCHD) confirms three new cases of COVID-19 for a total of 33

cases. Cases 32 and 33 are linked to prior positive cases and are isolating at home. Case number 31 is

suspected to be community spread at this time, and is also isolating at home. Investigation of case 33 is

still in progress. Additional information will be released as it becomes available. TCHD is in the process

of notifying all close contacts of these three cases. Close contacts will be quarantined at home upon

notification.

The following locations have been identified as locations visited by either case 31 or case 32.

Kum and Go, Hollister – June 12, 13, 14, 16, & 17

Big Cedar Lodge, Shuttle – June 14, 16, & 17

Branson Towers – June 13 through June 16

June 20, 2020

The Taney County Health Department (TCHD) continues to investigate a COVID-19 outbreak associated

with Tequila’s 2 in Branson. At this point in time, the restaurant remains voluntarily closed. Known

community exposure dates are June 10 through June 16. Currently, multiple known positive cases are

associated with the restaurant, with cases spanning three counties. Close contacts of positive cases

continue to be notified and quarantined.

This investigation is in progress and more information will be released as it becomes available.

If you have been to the restaurant during this timeframe, please monitor for COVID-19 symptoms. You

do not need to quarantine or isolate at this time, but are being asked to monitor for symptoms and contact

your healthcare provider if you begin experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms.

TCHD recommends anyone in the community displaying COVID-19 symptoms to contact their
