Making things easier for end-users and solutions providers to find each otherIt’s fitting that we strike up the band in the easy-to-access Big Easy. While there is little easy about incorporating healthcare barcode/auto-ID safety systems in hospitals, it is easy to see the big value.

The unSUMMIT for Healthcare Barcoding rallies hundreds of healthcare providers and dozens of solutions providers, all committed to developing and using healthcare-barcoding technology well.

Our unmatched and proven peer-to-peer educational program makes it easier for hospitals to understand what it takes to get the job done.

Our unSUMMIT Pavillion and strategic networking opportunities make it easier for the nation’s leading technology providers to rub shoulders with and share their solutions with key decision-makers and end users.

Did we mention the French Quarter and Garden District, gumbo and beignets, Southern hospitality and all that jazz, which makes a decision to attend even easier?

Marching shoulder to shoulder toward a safer healthcare process.

Keynote Speaker

In 2004, Christopher Chabris and his colleague Daniel Simons, received the Ig Nobel Prize in Psychology, awarded for "achievements that first make people laugh, and then make them think," for the experiment that inspired their best seller —The Invisible Gorilla.

Chris received his B.A. in computer science and his Ph.D. in psychology from Harvard University, where he was also a Lecturer and Research Associate for many years. He is now Assistant Professor of Psychology at Union College in Schenectady, New York, Adjunct Assistant Professor of Neurology at Albany Medical College, and a Visiting Scholar at the MIT Center for Collective Intelligence.

Chris’s research focuses on two main areas: how people differ from one another in mental abilities and patterns of behavior, and how cognitive illusions affect our decisions. He has published papers on a diverse array of topics, including human intelligence, beauty and the brain, face recognition, the Mozart effect, group performance, and visual cognition.

Chris also writes occasionally for the Wall Street Journal, is a chess master and poker amateur.
