TOURS

Compost2020 Sustainability Tour Institutional Composting and Recycling is thriving in Charleston! See two excellent examples on this half-day tour. At the Boeing Production Facility you will walk the plant site and hear about Boeing’s Zero Waste Program. The tour will include a look behind the scenes in the cafeteria and you’ll hear about the successes and the challenges faced in supporting and sustaining the Boeing Composting Program. At the Medical College of South Carolina the tour will feature the Vermitech Worm Composter, the urban farm and compost use demo area. SMART Recycling serves both facilities, and you will see their carts and interior recycling and compost collection bins in both settings.
