Inserting the batteries•Removethebatterycover(atthebaseofthe

handle)byturningit90degreestotheleftuntilitclicksintoplace(fig.1)andthenpullitdown(fig.2)

•Insert2xAAbatteriesinthebatterycompartment.Theimagesonthebackoftheunitindicatethecorrectbatterydirection.

•Closethebatterycoverbyturningit90degreestotherightuntilitclicksintoplace.

NOTE: The Emjoi® PediSmooth is ONLY for use on the feet and heels. Do not use this device anywhere else on the body.

Only use PediSmooth on dry skin.

Do not use on broken or bleeding skin.

•Ensurethattheskiniscleananddry.•SelectthePediSmoothrolleryouwanttouseandplaceitinto

theunit.Seethe‘ChangingthePediSmoothRoller’sectionforinstructionsonhowtoremoveandreplacetheroller.

•Thereare2typesofPediSmoothRollersavailabletocustomiseyourresults:

– Whiteforextracoarseskin– Pinkforcoarseskin

•Removetheprotectivecoverfromtheunitanditisreadytouse•Toturntheuniton,firmlypressthesafetyswitchinthecentre

oftheOn/Offswitchandatthesametimeslideitupwards.•Gentlyrotatetheunit(backandforthorsidetoside)overthe

callous/corn/hardskinareafor2-3seconds.•Donotpresshard–gentlyglidetheunitoverthedesiredareaor

theunitwillstopifitispressedtoohardontheskin.•Turntheunitoffandcheckifyouhaveachievedthedesired

resultinthatarea.Ifnot,turntheunitonandgoovertheareafor2-3moresecondsandcheckagain.Continuetousethismethoduntilthedesiredlevelofsmoothnessisachieved.

Warning: Stop if the skin becomes sore or inflamed.

Warning: Do not use on skin for more than 2-3 seconds at a time.

•Toturntheunitoff,slidetheOn/Offswitchdownwards.•Rinsetheskinoruseawettoweltogetridoftheexcess

deadparticles.•TocleantheEmjoiPediSmooth,seethe‘CareandCleaning’

sectionorusethecleaningbrushprovided.•Keeptheprotectivecoveronyourunitwhenitisnotinuse.

Replacing the batteries

•Toreplacebatteries,removethebatterycoverthenremovetheoldbatteriesandreplacethemwithnewbatteries. Makesurethatyouinsertbatteriesintoyourdeviceproperly,withthe+(plus)and–(minus)terminalsalignedcorrectly.

•Replacethebatterycover.•IfAlkalinebatteriesareused,theycanbesafelydisposed

ofwithnormalhouseholdwastewhenexhausted.Ifunsure,contactyourlocalcouncilwithregardstothebatterydisposalpracticeinyourarea.Neverdisposeofbatteriesinfireastheycouldexplode.

•Alwaysweareyeprotectionandgloveswhendealingwithleakingbatteries.

Changing the PediSmooth Rollers

•ThePediSmoothrollercontainsfragileparts,pleasehandlethemwithcare.

•PleasetakeextracarewhenreplacingthePediSmoothroller.

•Pedismoothrollersthatarebrokenorworncouldcausedamagetotheskin.

•ChangethePediSmoothrollerasneededforbestresult.Thelifeoftherollersdependonfrequencyofuseandsizeofareabeingtreated.Replaceasneeded.

•ReplacetheEmjoi®PediSmoothrollerwhenyoufindanydefectstotherollerorwhenyoufindthemlesseffective.

•MakesuretheunitisturnedoffbeforereplacingthePedismoothroller.

1.PulldownthereleasebuttononthesideoftheunitandthePediSmoothrollerwillpopout(fig.3).

2.AfterthePediSmoothrollerpopsout,removeitfromthecylinderholdingtheendcapofthePediSmoothroller (fig.4).

3.RemovethereplacementPediSmoothrollerfromthereplacementcontainer(fig.5)bypressingthebottomwithyourpointerfingerandcatchingitinthepalmofyouroppositehand.

4.PlacethereplacementPediSmoothrollerintotheunituntilyouheara‘click’sound.BesuretoinsertthenewPediSmoothrollerintotheunitwiththethinnersidegoingintotheunit(fig.6&7)

5.AfterplacinganewPediSmoothrollerintotheunitcheckthatithasbeenfirmlyinstalledwithnosignsofshakyorlooseparts.
