This course provides an intensive review of gastroenterology and hepatology through the lens of successful test-taking. It is targeted to candidates preparing for both initial certification and maintenance of recertification and those in clinical practice who want a high-paced intensive review of the field.
This course will allow you to gain an in-depth knowledge of gastrointestinal conditions that are commonly seen in practice, as well as rare but “classic” clinical vignettes that are tested during board type exams. The boards also test physicians on their awareness of current guidelines and recent advances in all aspects of gastroenterology and hepatology. To meet these high standards required to pass the boards, we have put together this intensive review course which brings together outstanding educators from Cleveland Clinic and other leading institutions.
By attending you will be able to:• Describe the essential concepts in GI medicine
needed to prepare for the certification or recertification examination for GI practitioners
• Provide an update of recent clinical advances in gastroenterology and liver disease
• Summarize the diagnosis and management of disorders in the esophagus, stomach and duodenum, small and large bowel, pancreas, liver, and other organs in the GI system
Who Should AttendThis course is ideal for physicians and fellows preparing for certification and maintenance of recertification examinations. It is also valuable for physicians, physician assistants, fellows, and advance practice nurses who are seeking a comprehensive review of gastroenterology and hepatology.
