Top Story - The Robert Morris University football team hits the road for the first time in 2014 this Saturday, Sept. 6, as it travels to the University of North Dakota for a 7:00 p.m. Eastern kickoff at the Alerus Center. The Colonials dropped their season opener to Eastern Kentucky, a squad that is receiving votes in both national polls. North Dakota also played a tough foe a week ago as it met FBS member San Jose State. Nearly two-thirds (14-of-22) of RMU’s offensive and defensive starters in its opener were making their first collegiate start, but that didn’t stop a number of them from putting on impressive performances. This group of 14 included three Colonials that forced a combined four turnovers, three Colonials that reached double figures in tackles, a quarterback that completed 28 passes, a wide receiver that caught seven passes and a left tackle making his collegiate debut. This contest starts a three-game road trip for Robert Morris and is the first of two straight games in a new location as RMU will travel the length of Pennsylvania to Lafayette next Saturday, Sept. 13, to return a home game from the 2012 season. Quick Stat of the Evening - In its season opener last week against Eastern Kentucky, Robert Morris used a tried-and-true formula for victory on the gridiron as the Colonial defense grabbed four turnovers while the offense did not give the ball away a single time. However, this plus-four differential would not be enough for a victory, a rare outcome considering RMU’s history. The Colonials had won seven consecutive games when they did not turn the ball over and lost for only the fourth time in history in this circumstance as they fell to 20-4 (.833) in such situations. In fact, the game marked the first time ever that Robert Morris lost despite forcing at least four more turnovers than its opponent as RMU fell to 15-1 (.938) all-time in that situation. Recently, even having a differential of three or better had generally been good news for RMU as it had won nine of its past 10 games with a +3 turnover difference (or better) before last Thursday. Saturday's Opponent - Saturday’s game between Robert Morris and North Dakota marks the inaugural meeting between the two programs. Robert Morris owns a record of 19-12-1 (.609) when facing off with an opponent for the first time. North Dakota is the only new foe on RMU’s schedule this year, but this is the fifth consecutive season in which RMU has played at least one new opponent. The Colonials have played in the Peace Garden State on two previous occasions when they played at North Dakota State (2010, 2012). Of RMU’s previous 32 games against a first-time opponent, exactly half have come on the road. In those games, RMU is 7-8-1 (.469). On This Date (Sept. 6) in Robert Morris Football History - Robert Morris is 3-0 all-time on September 6 with a trio of non-conference victories. The wins were by margins of 10, 12 and 14 points and saw RMU score 27, 33 and 35 points. When the Colonials last played on this date, they were opening their 2008 season with a comfortable victory over Morehead State. RMU ran out to a 20-0 lead at the half before the guests began to find their bearings in the second half. Morehead State cut the lead to 14 points, 27-13, early in the fourth quarter, but the Colonial defense forced an interception, a fumble and a turnover on downs on the Eagles’ final three pos- sessions to keep the score intact. RMU held Morehead State to a mere 34 rushing yards on 29 attempts and just 239 total yards. Current assistant coach Alex DiMichele (2008-10) tallied 10 tackles in his debut with RMU while fellow staff member Myles Russ (2007-10) ran for 132 yards. Sherrod Evers (2006-09) tied the single game school record with 10 catches for 159 yards. 2014 Robert Morris Football Game Notes @ North Dakota (9/6/14) - Page 3

Head Coach John BanaszakFirst Season - Eastern Michigan ’75

John Banaszak became the second head football coach in Robert Morris University history in December 2013. He served as an assistant coach and assistant head coach for the Colonials for 11 consecutive years prior to taking over the top spot. Banaszak was selected as Coach-In-Waiting in January 2012, allowing for a simple transition following the 2013 campaign. At the end of the 2013 season, he was named as the Assistant Coach of the Year at the FCS level as selected by the American Football Coaches Association. He was one of five coaches selected for dedication to their teams and communities. He was the first RMU coach, as well as the first from the NEC, to claim this honor. The 2013 season was Banaszak's sixth as assistant head coach for Robert Morris. Among his numerous

duties with the program, he was responsible for tutoring the defensive line and the special teams unit. Under Banaszak's guidance in 2013, Robert Morris led the NEC in net punting, punt return defense and punt return average. Banaszak was also a key component in instructing a RMU defense that finished second in the NEC in total defense within league play in 2013. Robert Morris finished its regular season ranked among the top 25 nationally in at least seven defensive categories including total defense. With Banaszak's assistance, RMU has led the NEC in total defense four times in the past 10 years and ranked among the top four nine times in the past 11 seasons. Banaszak was a key component to a 2010 defense that led the NEC in total defense as the Colonials claimed the NEC's inaugural berth in the FCS Playoffs. In 2006, he helped tutor an RMU defense that led I-AA in total defense, allowing an average of just 228.36 yards per game. 10 of the 13 players in school history to earn All-NEC recognition on the defensive line have come under the tutelage of Banaszak, including Nolan Nearhoof (2009-12), who was named the 2012 NEC Defensive Player of the Year after breaking both the school and league records for career sacks. Nearhoof would go on to earn All-America honors, becoming the third Colonial defensive lineman to claim an All-America nod under Banaszak in a seven-year span. As much as Banaszak's presence has been felt on the defensive side of the ball, the same can be said on special teams. He has helped five distinct Colonials win an award at return specialist within the past decade. A graduate of Eastern Michigan, Banaszak signed as a free agent with the Pittsburgh Steelers prior to the 1975 season and was one of only three rookies to make the defending Super Bowl champion team out of training camp. Primarily a special teams player on Pittsburgh's Super Bowl X championship team, Banaszak started five games the following season and then started at both right end and inside tackle in 1977 before suffering a knee injury that forced him to the injured reserve list. Between 1978 and 1980, Banaszak started 45 regular-season games at defensive end as the Steelers won back-to-back Super Bowls. In Super Bowl XIII, Banaszak recorded six tackles, including a pair of sacks, and a fumble recovery in a 35-31 win over the Dallas Cowboys, which garnered him Defensive Player of the Game honors. The following year, Banaszak helped the Steelers to a 31-19 victory over the Rams.

Robert Morris Quick FactsLast Time Out - Robert Morris remained within striking distance into the final quarter, but Eastern Kentucky was able to put the game away in the final 10 minutes … RMU had advantages in passing yards against EKU and had fewer than half of the penalty yards that Colonels accrued … Duane Mitchell’s nine grabs were the most by a Colonial since 2011 … Hunter Khaleghi knocked through a 39-yard field goal … Austin Trgovcich forced a fumble in his collegiate debut that sophomore Andy Smigiera recovered … Trgovcich posted 11 stops to aid the RMU defense … Robert Morris set a single game school record with 51 pass attempts, all of which were thrown by Luke Brumbaugh.

On Target - Duane Mitchell had a breakout campaign as a junior in 2013 as he reset the single-season school record with 52 receptions and notched 867 receiving yards, the second-highest figure in RMU history. What made those stats even more impressive is that RMU faced four of the top 30 passing defenses in the nation a year ago. Mitchell picked up where he left off in the 2014 opener as he tallied a career-high nine catches against EKU. That effort moved Mitchell into the top five in career receptions at RMU with 88. He needs 43 more receiving yards to move into RMU’s top five in that category.

First Impressions - While quarterback Luke Brumbaugh made his collegiate debut as a starter to open 2014, he was far from alone as he was part of a large group of Colonials who saw their first significant collegiate action. There were 14 Colonials that made their first-career start in last Thursday’s opener, six on offense and eight on defense. Seven of those 14 had never competed in a collegiate game before—those seven were part of a group of 26 Colonials that played in their first collegiate game last week.

Catch Me If You Can - Antwan Eddie will have a challenge in duplicating his 2013 season as he became the first Colonial to be named an All-American for a performance on spe-cial teams. He returned punts for the first time in his career in 2013 and tallied a single-season school record 405 yards on 27 returns. He ranked third in the FCS, averaging 15 yards per return, and broke a school record with an 88-yard return for a TD at VMI. Eddie was honored three times in the league’s weekly special teams category and reg-istered a return of 10+ yards in eight of the nine games in which he attempted a return.

Pick City - Robert Morris ranked among the top 15 nationally in interceptions in 2013, and the Colonial defense got off to a strong start in this department with three INT’s in Week 1. RMU has now grabbed at least one pick in each of the past eight games, the second-longest stretch by the Colonials since 2004. The defense has really produced in the past half dozen games as they have grabbed 16 interceptions in this span.

Seeing Red - After ranking 19th nationally in red zone defense a year ago, the Robert Morris defense, despite having eight new starters, continued to impress in this area in its 2014 opener. RMU allowed only two touchdowns on Eastern Kentuck's seven trips to the red zone, including keeping the Colonels out of the end zone in three of the four trips in which they drove inside RMU’s 10-yard line.

Punt It - Tony LaMancusa earned All-NEC honors in 2013 after leading the league in punting. He also helped RMU top the NEC in both net punting and punt return defense. He started off 2014 well as he tied a single-game school record, which he had already achieved once, with four punts downed inside the 20-yard line. LaMancusa has notched 26 punts downed inside the 20 against only four touchbacks in his last 14 games. He has had 3+ punts downed inside the 20-yard line in each of his past three games.

Enjoy the Sunset - After opening last Thursday night, the Colonials will continue the trend of playing after daylight in this week’s tilt with North Dakota, albeit indoors. In fact, Robert Morris will play each of their first three games at night in 2014. This will mark the first time RMU has ever played back-to-back night games in program history, and 2014 is also the first season in RMU history with three night games.

Start Me Up - Tony LaMancusa enters Saturday's game with the most consecutive start-ing assignments of all active Colonials as he has served as the punter for 34 straight games. When special teams is excluded, Antwan Eddie and Nick Faraci are tied for the most total starts among active Colonials at 23.

Game #1 • Eastern Kentucky 29, Robert Morris 10August 28, 2014 • Moon Township, Pa.

Joe Walton Stadium (Attendance: 2,809) - Robert Morris remained within striking distance into the fourth quarter, but Eastern Kentucky was able to put the game away in the final 10 minutes to claim a 29-10 decision in each team's season opener. After RMU punted on the season's opening drive, EKU drove to the RMU 5-yard line, but then the Colonial defense stiffened as Nic Lamica stepped in front of a pass and snatched it right near the goal line. Three more punts followed before Eastern Kentucky used good field position to launch a 61-yard touchdown drive. RMU was forced to punt after picking up a first down on its next drive, but the defense then notched its second pick as David Taylor snared the ball out of the air. That turnover helped RMU get on the board as Hunter Khaleghi then knocked through a 39-yard field goal. Eastern Kentucky responded right away, though, as it used an 11-play drive to find the end zone again, a drive capped off with a QB keeper. EKU used a 43-yard drive on its next possession to add on to its lead with a 34-yard field goal. The RMU offense then began to develop some flow as it moved well into EKU territory on its next two drives, but a fourth down attempt came up less than a yard short on one drive while a punt was elected with the other. The Colonial defense allowed EKU little room to move near the end of the half. EKU drove inside the 10-yard line to open the second half, but RMU forced the guests to settle for a short field goal, which was made. After three empty drives, EKU used the turnover on downs to its advantage as it tacked on another field goal with a 10-play drive. Robert Morris then moved into Colonel territory for the fourth time in five drives before settling for a punt. On the first play of the next drive, RMU's defense would get the ball right back via fumble recovery as Austin Trgovcich stripped the ball free. A sack on the following play set RMU behind with regard to down and distance, and the Colonials were forced to punt. Taylor collected his second interception of the evening on the second play of EKU's ensuing drive to keep the Colonels from adding to their lead. Six plays later, true freshman Rameses Owens ran in practically untouched from 17 yards out to pull RMU with two scores. The RMU defense was able to force a punt after four plays, getting the ball back to its offense with about 10 minutes left and trailing by 13. However, Robert Morris was unable to threaten on its final two possessions of the evening.

Last RMU GameTwo Is Better Than One - While Antwan Eddie earned major notice for his special teams effort in 2013, he also earned All-NEC honors for his work at cornerback. He tallied three interceptions in 2013 and has at least one pass breakup in each of the last five games. He was honored in the NEC's defensive player of the week category last year after holding the league’s all-time lead-ing receiver, who was in NFL camp this sumer, to two catches for 22 yards. He became the first Colonial since 2005 to earn All-NEC honors at two positions.

Spread the Love - Robert Morris grabbed 16 interceptions in 2013, its second-highest figure since 1999. What really was noteworthy about RMU's sum was that 11 different Colonials helped produce it, marking the most players to have at least one interception in any RMU season. After two different Colonials grabbed picks in last week’s opener, 13 distinct Colonials have grabbed at least one interception in the team’s past eight games.

Any Given Saturday - Before becoming a record-breaking receiver for RMU, Duane Mitchell began his career as a running back in his rookie season. Since moving to receiver, Mitchell has played in 23 games, and he has caught at least one pass in each of those outings. He has caught multiple passes in 14 con-secutive games as well as 21 of the past 23 outings. The RMU record for con-secutive games with a reception is held by tight end Shadrae King (2008-11), who caught a pass in each of the final 30 games he played.

Toss It Around - Luke Brumbaugh had a noteworthy collegiate debut under center for the Colonials last week as he completed 28 passes, the third-most in single game school history and the most since 2003. Brumbaugh, who was the first RMU redshirt or true freshman to start a season opener at QB since 1994, guided a Colonial offense that did not turn the ball over in Week 1.

I'll Have Seconds - Junior David Taylor had quite the performance in his first-career start in last week’s season opener. He notched the first two intercep-tions of his career and added a career-high 10 tackles. Taylor became the 17th distinct Colonial to have multiple INT in a game, and his effort made 2014 the third straight year that a Colonial has had a multi-interception game.

They'll Be Back - One interesting way to examine the youth of the Colonials is to look at the number of players that started last week who will be done with their careers after this season. Of RMU’s 22 offensive and defensive starters from its opener, only three Colonials—two on offense, one on defense—will have used all of their NCAA eligibility when the 2014 campaign is completed.

Time to Buy Stock - The RMU defense was hit hard by graduation losses after last season, but one piece the Colonials are happy to have back is linebacker Mike Stojkovic. Stojkovic, who was hampered by injuries last year, trans-ferred to RMU from FBS school North Texas where he started nine games as a true freshman, making 48 tackles. He had a strong start to 2014 as he notched 13 tackles against EKU, including a big tackle for loss on a third-and-one play.

Pack Your Bags - Although Robert Morris opened at home for just the second time since 2008, Colonials fans will have to wait awhile to see RMU again. The trip to North Dakota is the first of three straight weeks on the road for RMU, marking only the second time in school history that RMU has played three road games in three weeks. An added element of intrigue is that two of the three places RMU will visit, it has never played before in program history.

Finish Strong, Start Fast - One Colonial who carried over momentum from the 2013 season finale is wide receiver Sean Gavin. Gavin caught a career-high six passes for 72 yards to close 2013 as he began to settle into a starting role that was prompted by a mid-season injury. Gavin started 2014 with a bang as he set career highs in both catches (eight) and yards (102).

NEC Champions since 1996

A New Look Offense - While John Banaszak is only the second head coach in Robert Morris football history, Darrin Hicks is only the second offensive coordinator for the Colonials as former head coach Joe Walton performed the duty for the past 20 years. Hicks was hired in December and brings 17 years of collegiate coaching experience to RMU, including 10 as an offensive coordinator. Hicks’ numerous accomplishments include helping Delta State win games in the Division II Tournament in back-to-back years, including reaching the quarterfinals in 2008. Hicks, an all-conference offensive lineman who helped Washington & Jefferson reach the national championship game as a player, espouses an up-tempo attack.

Way to Start – Two other Colonials to have notable debuts last week were Nic Lamica and Rameses Owens. Lamica posted a game-high 14 tackles and grabbed an intercep-tion. Owens ran for a 17-yard touchdown in his collegiate debut, becoming the first Colonial true freshman to run for a touchdown in a season opener since 2000.

Making the Grade - Recently graduated linebacker Kyle Cooper and current senior offensive lineman Nick Faraci were both named Capital One Academic All-District First Team in an announcement made by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) last November. As a result of their first-team selections, both Colonials advanced to the Academic All-America ballot. While this was the first such honor for both Cooper and Faraci, the RMU football program is no stranger to aca-demic successes. These two accolades gave the Colonial program at least one Academic All-District honoree in each of the past 11 seasons, a span in which Robert Morris has taken home 21 overall selections. To put that in perspective, no other NEC school has an active streak of football academic all-district selections longer than two years. Cooper, a sport management major who also earned his Master of Business Administration, had a 3.71 GPA. He had 81 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss and forced two turnovers in 2013. Faraci, a nursing major, has a sterling 3.92 GPA. He has started 23 consecutive games at center, the most consecutive starts by any active Colonial on offense or defense.

Hurry Up - One of Darrin Hicks’ goals as offensive coordinator is to run plays at a high rate. The Colonials amassed 75 offensive plays in their season opener against Eastern Kentucky, the second-highest figure by Robert Morris in the team’s past 27 games. It is also the most plays RMU has run in a non-conference game since September 2005.

In a NFL Training Camp - RMU assistant coach Myles Russ had a unique opportunity to help the Buffalo Bills' staff and running backs during the National Football League team's training camp in late July. Russ, the running backs coach for the Colonials, was one of three individuals recently selected by the Bills to participate in this year's Bill Walsh Minority Coaching Fellowship program. The Bills ranked second in the NFL in rushing yardage per game (144.2) last season with C.J. Spiller and Fred Jackson leading the way. The Bill Walsh Minority Coaching Fellowship is designed to expose talented minority college coaches to the methods and philosophies of summer NFL training camps. In fact, the Bills' current running back coach, Tyrone Wheatley, previously took part in the program in 2008. Russ is in his third season as the running backs coach at RMU and remains the program’s all-time leading rusher (4,271).

In a NFL Training Camp, Part II - A.J. Dalton, a senior on last year’s RMU team, signed a free-agent contract with the Detroit Lions in May and participated in the team’s train-ing camp, including playing in preseason games. Dalton made 37 starts in his four years for the Colonials on the offensive line, beginning his career at guard before shifting to left tackle for the majority of his tenure. Dalton was selected as an All-American by The Sports Network in 2013, becoming just the second Colonial offensive lineman in school history to earn such an honor.

Comeback Kids - In its 17-13 win at Wagner last Oct. 26, RMU rallied from a fourth-quarter deficit to claim a victory. That shouldn’t have come as a surprise as RMU seems to relish winning the hard way in the last one and a half years. The win against the Seahawks is one of five times in the team’s past 17 contests that the Colonials have been trailing in the fourth quarter but rebounded to pull out a victory. RMU has won at least two games when trailing in the fourth quarter in three of the past four seasons.

He spent the past 10 seasons as the recruiting coordinator and is entering his eighth season as defensive coordinator. The Colonials have consistently produced quality defenses under Farison’s watch. In Farison’s 11 seasons coaching the defensive side of the ball at RMU, the Colonials have finished among the top 25 nationally in total defense on six occasions, including finishing among the top 11 in four of those years. Farison has been directly responsible for helping four different Colonials to NEC Defensive Player of the Year honors within the past decade, including two within the past four years.Darrin Hicks (offensive coordinator; Washington & Jefferson ’96): Hicks is in his first season on staff at Robert Morris and directly coaches quarterbacks as part of his duties. Robert Morris in the 2013 NEC StatsThe Founding Father - The one constant in the first two decades of Colonial football was former head coach Joe Walton. Walton, the former NFL tight end and head coach of the New York Jets, started the program from scratch, com-pleting everything from hiring assistants to purchasing equipment. He was named NEC Coach of the Year four times in 18 seasons and guided RMU to a pair of NCAA I-AA mid-major national crowns during his time on the side-lines. Walton, currently a special assistant to the athletic director at Robert Morris, was inducted in the RMU Athletic Hall of Fame last November.

Get To The Chopper - A quick glance at RMU’s record when broken down proves how important it is the Colonials get off to a good start in contests. When Robert Morris is leading at halftime, the program owns an all-time record of 89-13 (.873). When trailing at the break, Robert Morris owns a mark of 12-71-1 (.149). Even going into halftime tied is beneficial, as the Colonials own an overall record of 14-9 (.609) in such games.

The Magic Mark - Since the Colonials began play in 1994, there have been 76 games in which Robert Morris has scored 30 or more points. In those contests RMU boasts a record of 71-5 (.934), including a record of 42-5 (.894) in games in which the team scores between 30 and 39 points. In games in which the Colonials score 40 or more points, RMU is a perfect 29-0.

RMU Football Historical Tidbits - The inaugural running back at Robert Morris, the late Tim Hall (1994-95), rushed for 2,908 yards in his two seasons as a Colonial. Hall still owns the FCS season and career records for yards per carry, with his season record of 8.7 yards per carry set in 1994 and his two-year career record of 7.4 established in 1994 and 1995 ... Hall also ranks fourth all-time in the FCS in both rushing yards per game (153.1) and all-purpose yards per game (194.8) ... Former Colonial linebacker James Noel (2002-05) ranks sixth in the FCS record book for career tackles per game (10.7), while his career tackle total of 437 takedowns ranks 14th all-time ... Former linebacker and current assistant coach Alex DiMichele (2008-10) averaged 10 tackles per game over his three years in a Robert Morris uniform, which ranks 13th all-time in the FCS record book ... Robert Morris has led the nation in passing defense twice in the past 15 years, based on passing effi-ciency defense rating. The Colonials topped the charts in 1999 (with a 80.80 rating) as well as in 2006 (with a 88.70 rating).

Did You Know? - Robert Morris owns the all-time FCS record for the most consecutive quarters while holding an opponent scoreless. During the 1996 season, the Colonials went 15 straight quarters without allowing a single point. In fact, the record-setting streak occurred at the beginning of the sea-son. RMU posted three straight shutouts -- 20-0 against Mercyhurst (9/7), 38-0 against Butler (9/14) and 7-0 against Towson State (9/21) -- to open the campaign and then held Central Connecticut State (9/28) scoreless for the first three quarters before finally allowing a point for the first time all sea-son. In all, Robert Morris went 234:04 before allowing a point in 1996. RMU went 9-2 (.818) in 1996, claiming a share of the NEC championship, and con-ceded just 12.9 points per game.

The Last Time a Colonial ... Rushed for 200 or more yards in a game: Myles Russ, 246 (10/11/08 vs. Duquesne - span of 61 games) ... Passed for 300 or more yards in a game: Paul Jones, 321 (9/28/13 @ VMI - span of 8 games) ... Passed for 400 or more yards in a game: Rich Demaio, 444 (11/15/03 @ Duquesne - span of 109 games) ... Scored three or more touchdowns in a game: Duane Mitchell, 3 (11/2/13 vs. Bryant - span of 4 games) ... Made 15 or more tackles in a game: Mike Cook, 19 (9/14/13 vs. Dayton - span of 9 games) ... Had three or more interceptions in a game: Brian Dunn, 3 (10/8/94 vs. Duquesne - span of 204 games) ... Had three or more sacks in a game: Nolan Nearhoof, 3 (10/13/12 @ Bryant - span of 17 games).

Robert Morris CaptainsHead coach John Banaszak has elected to continue with the basic setup that Robert Morris used in regard to its captains a year ago. RMU has chosen two captains—one offensive and one defensive—for the duration of the sea-son. An additional captain(s) will be chosen each game week on a rotating basis. The extra captain(s) could come from any area of the team.

OFFENSERedshirt senior Jon Hill was selected as the team’s captain on the offensive end. Hill is the most experienced offen-sive lineman on the roster, having played in 26 career games. He started every game at right tackle in 2013 and also started at right guard during the 2012 campaign. Hill actually entered Robert Morris as a defensive lineman coming out of high school, but he was transitioned to the offensive side of the ball before his sophomore season.

DEFENSESenior Antwan Eddie was named as the team’s captain on the defensive end. Eddie is a three-year letterwinner and two-year starter at cornerback for the Colonials. He claimed all-conference honors at both defensive back and return specialist last season after breaking the single-season school record for punt return yards. He owns 86 tackles, five interceptions and 405 punt return yards in his career. He earned Third Team All-America honors from The Sports Network at punt returner a year ago.

Colonial football games are heard live on ESPN Radio AM-970 Pittsburgh, the flagship station of Robert Morris University athletics. ESPN 970 and RMU reached a three-year agreement in the summer of 2013 to broadcast foot-ball, men’s basketball and men’s hockey games. The Voice of the Colonials, Chris Shovlin, and color analyst Brian Cleary call the football action. RMU Assistant Sports Information Director Spencer Kowitz joins Shovlin as color analyst for select Colonial road games. "The John Banaszak Show" is on 30 minutes prior to kickoff. Games can also be heard on the station’s website, www.970espn.com, as well as on iHeartRadio. RMU home and league games can be seen live for free on NEC Front Row, the conference’s online digital net-work. The league has added multiple upgrades this year, including the ability to transmit live events in HD as well as providing the ability for the viewer to use a DVR-style, in-game real-time rewind feature.

Colonials in the NFLSince Robert Morris played its first season in 1994, three former Colonials have appeared in a game in the National Football League (NFL), the most among current NEC members in this span as of August 2014. Many players have “rewritten” record books at various schools. At Robert Morris, however, Tim Hall wrote the record book. Hall rushed for 2,908 yards on 393 carries in his two seasons in a Colonial uniform and was named an All-American by the Associated Press in 1995. He was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the sixth round (183rd player overall) in the 1996 NFL Draft. In 1997, he led the Raiders in yards per carry average with 5.2 and was second in rushing yards to Napolean Kaufman. On Sept. 30, 1998, Hall was shot and killed in Kansas City at age 24. Hank Fraley, who played on the offensive line for Robert Morris from 1996-1999, carved out a niche for himself in the NFL for over a decade. Fraley was a three-time Mid-Major All-American during his years at RMU before he was signed by the Pittsburgh Steelers to a free-agent contract in April 2000. Fraley was later claimed by the Eagles and started at center for Philadelphia for the entire 2001 season, helping the team to the 2002 NFC Championship game. For four straight seasons with Fraley starting at center from 2002-05, the Eagles appeared in the NFC Championship game. In 2005, Fraley became the first RMU alum to appear in the Super Bowl when he started at center against the New England Patriots in Super Bowl XXXIX. Former RMU defensive back Robb Butler played for the San Diego Chargers during the 2004 season and was featured in special teams situations, including returning kickoffs.
