WHAT: A 2-day summit where everyone will be able to share their successes and struggles, take in a film screening together, visit community and school gardens, and think big about our students’ food future. Day 1 –Tuesday• Keynote: Rethinking How We Nourish our Students

Speaker: Dr. Mildred Mattfeldt-Beman, Professor and Chair, Department of Nutrition & Dietetics, Saint Louis University

• Case study presentations: Neighborhood/Community Food and Food Deserts, Successful School Gardens, School Cafeteria Makeovers

• Screening and discussion of A Place at the Table, a documentary that examines food insecurity and hunger in the United States (www.takepart.com/place-at-the-table).
