ABOUT the FOOD PROVIDERS GROUP
began in February of 2010. In 2011, the Community Foundation of South Lake received a grant for $50,000 that greatly advanced the efforts of this amazing group.
The Food Providers Group of Lake County consists of a vast array of philanthropic individuals from a multitude of different lines of work and various backgrounds. Each month representatives from food banks, churches and ministries, local food pantries, schools, civic groups, non-profit organizations, government agencies, and others interested in meeting the needs of those who are hungry in Lake County.
Although the Food Providers reside and serve numerous different communities such as: Eustis, Umatilla, Tavares, Mt. Dora, Leesburg, Groveland, Minneola, and Clermont, they share a common passion for helping people and the desire to make a difference in their community. These amazing individuals are working each day to fight hunger.
