Project Decision Process
• I have always wanted to teach• I have always been interested in
theatre• Directing was the perfect mix!
The Start of the Road
• I contacted a couple of elementary schools
• I researched acting and projection games

• Theatre Kids Club• Grades 2nd-6th • Mentor: Julie McCullough
An Average Day
• Arrive on Wednesdays 3:40• Do a warm-up• Run scenes individually or
sequentially• Work on set pieces• Finish at 4:30
The Cast
Working With Students
Positive Outcomes
• Confidence grew• Students became better with
character development• Learned theatrical terms
Struggles Faced
• Finding a mentor• Working with the younger children• Making it fun• Line memorization• Re-Casting• Photo forms
What I Learned
• I like working with older kids better• I am more interested in acting than
directing• It will not be perfect, it just has to be
fun
My Future
• Special education major at University of Idaho
• Possible community theatre• Assisting/Beginning another drama
club
