ABOUT VINNIES WA The St Vincent de Paul Society is a lay Catholic organisation that aspires to serve people less fortunate with love, respect, justice, hope and joy, and works to shape a more just and compassionate society. Vinnies has more than 2,500 volunteers in Western Australia, and through hard work last year they assisted over 38,000 people in need. Each day Vinnies receives between 200 to 250 calls from individuals seeking assistance, with most requests being for food, furniture, clothing as well as help with bills and shelter. INVOLVE YOUR SCHOOL

DRESSED BY VINNIESPrior to the event all participants are encouraged to visit a local Vinnies shops and purchase any item to wear on a student free dress day - plus bring a gold coin donation on the day. They will then be Dressed by Vinnies!

STREET APPEALStudents gather in the city or run a campus collection to fundraise for the Vinnies emergency relief program.

CHRISTMAS APPEALThe Christmas Appeal is centred around a food drive to make hampers for people experiencing poverty and homelessness in your community.

HIGH SCHOOL FORMATION CAMPHigh school students reflect and learn about social justice, spirituality and Vinnies. The Formation Camp also includes games, workshops, a liturgy and spiritual reflections.

WINTER APPEALThe focus of the Winter Appeal is around collecting food and blankets to help keep families warm. Contact us about ideas on how you can fundraise.

SCHOOL SLEEPOUTYou can help to influence community awareness around homelessness. The School Sleepout allows students to gain a greater sense of empathy and understanding for people at risk or of experiencing homelessness.
