Joshua 14:6 Now the men of Judah

approached Joshua at Gilgal, and Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite said to him, "You know what the LORD said to Moses the man of God at Kadesh Barnea about you and me.



Joshua 14:7 I was forty years old when

Moses the servant of the LORD sent me from Kadesh Barnea to explore the land. And I brought him back a report according to my convictions,(NIV)



Joshua 14:8 but my brothers who went up

with me made the hearts of the people melt with fear. I, however, followed the LORD my God wholeheartedly.(NIV)



Joshua 14:9 So on that day Moses swore to

me, `The land on which your feet have walked will be your inheritance and that of your children forever, because you have followed the LORD my God wholeheartedly.'(NIV)



Joshua 14:10 "Now then, just as the LORD

promised, he has kept me alive for forty-five years since the time he said this to Moses, while Israel moved about in the desert. So here I am today, eighty-five years old!(NIV)



Joshua 14:11 I am still as strong today as the

day Moses sent me out; I'm just as vigorous to go out to battle now as I was then.(NIV)



Joshua 14:12 Now give me this hill country

that the LORD promised me that day. You yourself heard then that the Anakites were there and their cities were large and fortified, but, the LORD helping me, I will drive them out just as he said."(NIV)



Joshua 14:13 Then Joshua blessed Caleb son

of Jephunneh and gave him Hebron as his inheritance.(NIV)



Joshua 14:14 So Hebron has belonged to

Caleb son of Jephunneh the Kenizzite ever since, because he followed the LORD, the God of Israel, wholeheartedly.(NIV)


"Followed the Lord wholeheartedly" is mentioned 3x in the passage (vv8,9,14)

Joshua 14:8 but my brothers who went up with me made the

The reason why Caleb entered the Promised Land and received the great blessing of Hebron was that he followed God wholeheartedly. V14


Joshua 14:14 So Hebron has belonged to Caleb son

of Jephunneh the Kenizzite ever since, because he followed the LORD, the God of Israel, wholeheartedly.(NIV)

Only Christians who follow God wholeheartedly are respected by men and God

1. YOU STAND ON RIGHTEOUS CONVICTION IN THE MIDST OF INFLUENTIAL OPPOSITION .v7

12 leaders were sent to spy Canaan but the 10 opposed the conquest.

Righteous conviction refers to Christian values and principles which are Bible-based truths

You must always choose to follow God's words when faced with influential oppossition.

Non-Christians are not happy with Christian vaues most of the time

There are so called "christians" who are not also happy with righteousness



Joshua 14:12 Now give me this hill country that the LORD

promised me that day. You yourself heard then that the Anakites were there and their cities were large and fortified, but, the LORD helping me, I will drive them out just as he said."(NIV)

Joshua 14:13 Then Joshua blessed Caleb son of Jephunneh

and gave him Hebron as his inheritance.(NIV)

DOING THE PROCESS OF 4 LADDER IS A MUST TO YOUR SUBMISSION

OBEYING MANDATES ARE NECCESSARY TO YOUR RESPECT AND SUBMISSION

God's destiny is your portion and inheritance. It is the great plan of God for your life. You must not rest until it is realized in your life

You must not fear any trial for God will always help you

Caleb was already 85 yrs old when he approached and asked Joshua of his Hebron

God will keep you alive and strong when

you are serious to fulfill your destiny.


CONCLUSION

God will see to it that you will be

blessed when you follow Him

wholeheartedly
