Follicular Unit Extraction(FUE)
Many clinics promote Follicular Unit Extraction “FUE” as the latest
breakthrough in hair transplant surgery and sell it as a “scar free”
technique.
In fact neither statement is correct, FUE is a procedure that was
developed in the late 80’s/early 90’s which has been in use in HRBR
for the past ten years when transplanting cases such as scars,
eyebrows and facial hair.

When the human skin is cut the body heals itself by forming a scar,
FUE can leave hundreds or thousands of circular white scars in the
donor area instead of a linear scar which can be left after strip
extraction.
The level of scarring resulting from a hair transplant procedure is
down to the skill of your surgeon and team and a patient’s own
capacity to heal, each person heals differently.
