AimsThe Aim of FocusOn is to enable Market Towns and Villages to promote themselves in a highly sophisticated

but cost effective manner.

Over the last 4 years we have been developing and publishing :

• An annual Town Guide giving current and prospective residents an overview of the area, details of services

and useful contacts

• A monthly Advertiser providing interesting local editorial and an opportunity for local businesses to promote special offers, events etc

• A national website offering towns and villages the opportunity to have maintained Internet presence at very little cost.

Publications The ‘Town’ Advertiser magazine, the ‘Town’ Guide magazine,

the ‘Town’ Web-Portal and much more.

The Advertiser

The Advertiser magazine is a monthly/bi-monthly glossy A4 publication with

advertising, engaging editorials and news of local interest, distributed free to

households and businesses.

Distribution

The printed copies are distributed to every household in the named publication.

Copies are delivered to waiting rooms, hotels and pubs etc. In addition copies are

available at strategic pick up points within a radius from the named town.

Target

Residents, visitors and local businesses of the Towns.

Town Guide

The Town Guide is a yearly reference publication distributed free to businesses and places

of interest to tourists (visitor centres, attractions...)

Distribution

Town Guides are drip fed to Tourist Information Centres and key businesses for visitors

e.g. Estate Agents, pubs, hotels, local grocery stores.

Target

Businesses, visitors and prospective residents of the Towns.

Digital Integration of Advertising

The printed publications are uploaded as readable e-magazines. A digital archive guarantees that all past

publications remain available. Advertisers benefit from their adverts remaining visible on the Internet to readers

while actively improving the SEO of their website.

You are Ready to go!

FocusOn will provide technical set up and installations. The website will be launched within a week.

A dedicated member of the FocusOn team will work closely with new franchisee for 3 months to help organise

the publication from conception to letterboxes.

Business Directory Listings

Inclusion within the online business directory is currently offered as a free service to advertisers. The basic

listing of contact details and telephone number. Direct web link, email etc, are offered as a paid upgrade.

To start with, FocusOn will provide basic training so that a new franchisee can update and maintain their own Events pages,

create local services, businesses and editorial articles.

What does the Franchisee gets?The Franchisee is given 3 months assistance with setting up and running the Franchise.

• Templates for an annual Town Guide

• Templates for a weekly newsletter

• The Franchisees Town/Community portal on the focusonuk.co.uk website (semi-automated), including:

- Databases to hold articles and events.

- A Business directory to add local Businesses/clubs/groups/societies

• Ongoing training, expert support and technical advice

You will be helped in the task of identifying advertisers and how to attract them to the publications

You will be shown how to run the events and articles pages and develop a Business Database.

What are the costs of a Franchise?

• A Franchise license of £6,000.

• A percentage of revenues from each publication. £300 or 5% of revenue, whichever is higher

• Ad hoc outsourced services charged at a Franchisees’ preferential rate of £16/hour.

• Up to 2 pages available to the Franchisor for amount of £100 per page

to the general public.
