Goal 1 Student Success: Ensure student retention, timely completion, employment success, and student satisfaction.

Strategies Update as of 1/22/2016

1. Course mix and scheduling. Identified excess hours in Hospitality; Scheduling Optimization Meetings.

2. Require major course plan/career map. In data collection phase.

3. Enhance student support services. Hired new staff in career services.

4. Hire a retention specialist. Hired and working.

5. Implement student critical thinking QEP. Submitted to SACSCOC; awaiting approval in March 2016.

6. Continue student satisfaction surveys. CIRP Freshman Survey administered in Fall 2015.

Campus Life: Foster an intentional culture of campus engagement.

GOAL 2

Student Commons in progress.

Intentional Enrollment Management: Strategically recruit and retain students by growing existing programs and creating new programs of strategic emphasis or demonstrated demand.

GOAL 3

Strategies Update as of 1/22/20161. Expand strategic emphasis/STEM prgrms. Searches for STEM Dean, IT & Engr faculty.

2. Identify lab space for STEM, etc. IT, Science, & Psych labs completed.

3. Assess capacity & demand for programs. Info being collected to develop structures.

4. Develop enrollment management plan. Staff in professional development activities.

5. Identify & reach new markets. New marketing & recruiting positions.

6. Articulation agreements. Preliminary mtgs: SCF, USF Engr, LECOM.

7. Optimize website. Admissions webpage; pathways project.

8. Leverage scholarships for recruitment. Funding identified.

9a. Explore PAInT expansion. Working on legislative appropriation-Circus.

Teaching and Learning: Explore and implement innovative technologies and pedagogical methods that increase student engagement in the learning process and improve student learning outcomes.

2. Assess status of off-campus learning sites. Moved South County site; CIL repairs; Mote Labs full – ongoing.

3. Enhance course technology & delivery. Upgraded classrooms; faculty certification.

4. Expanded international opportunities. Studying additional Taiwan needs.

5. Assure program quality through accreditations.

SACS in progress; COE validating rubrics; COB awaiting AACSB schedule; Criminology program review in progress - ongoing.

6. Expand internship opportunities. Doubled number available to students.
